I don't know, but none of the Bobcat players were flipping off the fans after the game. Good sportsmanship on their part.
Well, good for them. Didn’t do something most teams wouldn’t do.

A single player allegededly stuck up his middle finger? The horror. If true, I bet no NDSU fans said anything to him beforehand, either..

Quit watching at the half. The de facto NC game was 3 weeks ago. Blame that on the committee. They f’d up like they did in 2016 with the de facto NC game in the semis.

And that turf was a bad as 2004 JMU/Montana in Chatty, which was the worst ever.
Turf was fine. It was just wet.

Fun taling my grandson on the field Saturday, as part of the celebration. Never know when it's the last chance to do something like that.

Watson is in the Sr Bowl. OLine, Cordel Volson, possible 3rd round.

Bobcats LB Troy Anderson in Sr Bowl.

Well that was rough, but a great experience. Cats need to get bigger at DT and more speed on the outside when on offense. Chase Benson was a shell of himself and we just don't have the size and strength needed to combat what NDSU brought. NDSU's O-Line is UNREAL! Freak injury to Mellot when he got his ankle rolled underneath. Not sure if the outcome would have been any different, but I do think it would have been closer. Congrats to NDSU, back to the drawing board for the rest of the FCS.

A lot of people have waited for that...He's had plenty of opportunity, but for whatever reason he's been pretty much ineffectual.

He'll make a good catch or 2, get injured and see him the following year. Just hasn't had any consistant time on the field.

Possible Receiving corp for next season.

WRS AND TES
Outside of the quarterback room, the wide receiver room is the most interesting situation as far as I'm concerned. Christian Watson is obviously gone. As much respect as I have for Ryan Smith, Zach Vraa, Darrius Shepherd, Warren Holloway, and Kole Heckendorf, Christian Watson is the best receiver I've ever seen at North Dakota State. He's certainly going to be drafted as such. The Bison are replacing 54% of their WR yardage and 70% of their WR touchdowns. That's all Watson.

The receiver groups will come in all shapes and sizes in 2022. They'll have the trees. Bryce Lance (6'3"), Chris Harris (6'3"), Jake Lippe (6'2"), and Zach Mathis (6'6") all have that "feature size". "Z" types Phoenix Sproles and DJ Hart will compete with slot-types Raja Nelson and Braylon Henderson. Henderson and Sproles are NDSU's non-Watson pass-catchers returning with the most production.

All that is to say: watch out for the kids. Three-stars Carson Hegerle (West Fargo) and Mekhi Collins (Mankato West) could be ready to challenge for those targets immediately. Collins specifically looks ready to play college football in my opinion. Don't be surprised, also, if the right fit at wide receiver comes available in the transfer portal, especially for a one-year run, if it's not considered.

The tight end room received a massive boost in a very unfortunate way when Noah Gindorff suffered a leg injury and chose to return to North Dakota state instead of missing his college all star game and the NFL combine. They'll also get a boost in the way of Northern State transfer Jacob Streit, older brother of NDSU Basketball's Joshua Streit. Streit recorded 689 yards and six touchdowns in 2018 as a wide receiver in the NSIC, but is transitioning his body to play tight end. Those additions buy more time for young tight ends Joe Stoffel, Finn Diggins, and Travis Yohnke to come into their own as players. The future of the tight end room is bright. This just buys it more time.

Projected Depth Chart

X: Mekhi Collins, Bryce Lance, Zach Mathis, Jake Lippe
Slot: Braylon Henderson, RaJa Nelson, Eli Green
Z: Phoenix Sproles, DJ Hart, Chris Harris

TE: Noah Gindorff, Joe Stoffel, Travis Yohnke, Jacob Streit
