Maybe true, but between the 3 times I saw SDSU (qtr finals vs VU, semis vs Albany, NC vs Montana), the Albany QB didn’t stand out as being way better than the other 2. The guy transferred down from ODU. If he ends up starting for Miami, the Canes are probably going to have issues. There was mentions on the JMU board late Dec about the Albany guy being a possibility, but JMU ended up getting one of Washington’s backup (2021 starter).

Speaking of Albany QBs, I remember back in Dec 21’/early 22’ tbere were people on the JMU board wanting to get the prior Albany QB, Undercuffler. In 2019 he was a Fr AA, threw for like a million yards when Albany made thw round of 16 (think they lost @ MT St). But in Winter/Spring 21’ and Fall 2021 seasons he was mediocre at best (basically sucked). There were those of us on the board saying no, the guy has a cannon, but he isn’t all that accurate, and is a friggin statue. Cignetti didn’t offer him. So he goes to Akron and sucks. Doz starts 22’-23’, 9 TDs/12 INT, MINUS 263 yds rushing. That’s not a typo lol.

The QB at Miami has NFL SIZE at 6-4 220 and he doesn't he is listed at 6-0 210 they are going to have to create passing lanes for him to be successful.

Your comments are totally understandable based off one game. Poffenbarger is a playmaker and I’ve liked him going back to 2022. He finds way to extend plays. I’d take him over the previous Albany QB anyday. Having said that, I was a little surprised that Miami took him, but when hearing the news, never once thought it was Miami of Ohio as he’s to Good for them. I haven’t followed The Canes for a while so I’m not going to predict Poffenbarger will definitely start
