Big Sky Predictions 10-26

Post by JALMOND »

With half the conference taking the weekend off, only three games are on the schedule. After coming off a perfect week last week, I am now at 54-14, and with only three games, I should be able to get another perfect week under my belt. But, the games still need to be played and the matchups are truly intriguing. Here are my predictions for this week.

EWU at UI---The Eagles are coming off a tough loss at home to one of the heavyweights and get another heavyweight on the road this time. The Vandals are looking to recover some consistency, after falling behind early against one of the cellar dwellers last week. Still, they rallied last week and this is at home...UI 42, EWU 24.

UM at UNC---The two Bears in the conference and the two that took last weekend off. The Grizzlies took some time to find their defense which seems to have gone AWOL, while the Browns are just trying to keep things close and win it at the end. The Grizzlies should get this, but it may be close...UM 31, UNC 21.

SAC at ISU---The Hornets finally broke through last week, working overtime to secure a conference win, and now go on the road to the Bengals' barn, where the Bengals have been running hot and cold all year. On paper, the Hornets should get this and jumpstart their season, but the Bengals could give them fits...SAC 38, ISU 34.

EWU 27-38 IdahoThe Vandal D has slipped the last couple weeks, but it still has a looooonngg way to go to reach the depths of the EWU defense

Sac State 42-38 Idaho St. — Every game from here-on-out is likely a must-win for the Hornets

Montana 34-16 NoCo — The Bear offense with their starting quarterback is probably on-par with NAU's offense with their 3rd. string QB

Venus...the Browns are about as bad as UNC, so it's understandable where JAL made the mistake....

You're reading too much into it. The FCS has Grizzlies and Black Bears already. So I made UNC the Brown Bears.

2-1 this week, missed the ISU win. 56-15 for the year.

That's par for the course with me, JAL. In the Navy, we called it "nuking" something; it's roughly equivalent to "overthinking." It's associated with those who were associated at any point with the Navy Nuclear Power Program. We call it "50/50, 90/10." For any 50/50 question, we get it wrong 90% of the time by overthinking....
