Big Sky Predictions 11-2

Post by JALMOND »

After a perfect week two weeks ago, I thought I would be able to get another one with only three games on the docket. But Idaho State threw me a curve and I could not get their game with Sacramento State correct, which puts me at 56-15 for the year. Five games on the schedule this week with the two Idaho schools sitting out. Next week begins the stretch run with a full slate of conference games to close out the year. Here are my predictions for this week's games.

MSU at EWU---Simply put, the Bobcats have been rolling over everyone they've met at the FCS level and coming off a bye week, they are looking to continue this. The Eagles put up a tough game last week on the road, but could not get the win. The Eagles can score against anyone, but the Bobcats are rolling...MSU 51, EWU 28.

WSU at NAU---The Wildcats' playoff hopes took a big hit right before their off week and they need this game if they have any hope of the postseason. The Lumberjacks have been a pleasant surprise and hope to continue their wins after also taking last week off. The Wildcats need it, but they don't get it...NAU 28, WSU 23.

UNC at UCD---It looked like the Bears offense took another week off last week, getting shutout at home. They move up in the upper echelon of the conference, going on the road to the Aggies place, who are coming off a bye week feeling pretty good about themselves. The Aggies should get this game...UCD 38, UNC 10

UM at CP---After their bye week two weeks ago are the Grizzlies finding their swagger? Their defense, AWOL for the weeks leading into the bye week, pitched a shutout last weekend. The Mustangs are coming off a bye week and played another heavyweight tough in the game before their off week. The Grizzlies are coming around...UM 38, CP 17.

PSU at SAC---The Vikings were showing some life before they took on the top dog in the conference before the bye week. The Hornets were supposed to be near the top, but some strange conference losses have them currently on the outside. The Vikings may be fresher and the Hornets may be reeling in this game...PSU 45, SAC 38.

Montana St. 45-27 EWU — How much the Bobcats score probably just depends on how much clock they wanna run

Montana 37-20 Cal Poly — First trip to SLO for the Griz since 2018

NoCo 7-34 DavisDavis HAS played some tight games against weaker compet… no, just no; it won't be close

Portland St. 31-41 Sac StateThe Hornets' delusions about making the playoffs will last one more week

Weblol 23-31 NAUYou can obviously stick a fork in the loser for sure, but NAU has the more favorable remaining schedule of the two

Delusions, Venus? We have no delusions about making the playoffs. Not now.
