Last week, South Dakota head coach and Jim Tressel lookalike Bob Nielson retired. He only went 53-48 in 9 seasons with the Coyotes, but he was 21-6 over the last 2 years. USD defensive coordinator Travis Johansen was elevated to replace him.

South Dakota picked up a excellent coach in Luke Bengston he hailed from D2 Power Virginia Union he is going to be the WR coach.Va.Union had one of power offenses in D2 nationally averaging 40.0ppg with 458.0 ypg.Bengston was the QB Coach.

Doesn't this seem a bit late for this to be happening? It's about time for spring ball to start. Coaches should be in the classroom installing the playbook in "coaching" classes....
