Not my stadium (ok it isn't really mine now is it?) but Bobcat stdium has been posted enough. I am anxious with anticipation for the continued upgrades. However, I just wanted to say I was underwhelmed with Amon G Carter. I did like the scoreboard though. It was awesome but that top deck on the home side looked (aside from half empty) horrible from my vantage point. Like overkill.

But Jackson State doesnt onw their stadium. Tennessee State is also a HBCU and they play in the Titans stadium, does that count as an FCS stadium since they are a HBCU?--same situatiuon basically as Jackson St.

What Im saying is I dont think its a "regular" fcs stadium if:
If the school doesnt own the stadium
If the stadium was built with expectations that the team will play in FBS

Here is the criteria that I think BF is getting at.
If a school was going to build a new stadium, which it owns, and the school has no intention of moving up to FBS, what stadiums would that school look at for models. My list in no particular order:

But ODU's stadium wasnt constructed for the writen consent of FCS stadia. I believe that the ODU stadium was first built with the intent of hosting bowl games, not just ODU games. It was REFURBISED and remodeled with FCS intentions, but not built. Please remove from list as you are violating your pre-determinded criteria.

HMM so that is more gray area. I believe we will need a congressional sub-comitee to decide the fate of the "curious case of ODU stadium" and its inclusion in the best of FCS acording to Black Falkin.

note- one could argue the point that ODU remodeled the stadium (UP TO) FCS standards, and this was the sole purpose of the renovation.

Now hold on a second. The stadium was originally built in 1936. And it seated (clam shells only) around 16,000. The only bowl games played there were mid-season fund raiser games between two schools not named Old Dominion (or Norfolk Division of William & Mary) that was organized by the local Shriners (funny hat people). It was later expanded to 26,000 with two end zone sections. I don't know how you couldn't include it. Especially with the bonus points it will receive with the free views from the parking garage. Ya gotta have a category for that, as long as there are sell-out crowds of course.
