thats the issue though. they are trying to give a buffer there incase the stadium renovations arent ready. Who knows what kind of winter we will have. By having the bye week the 2nd weekend, and the ability to move the first game to an away game, they are giving themselves an extra 2 week buffer zone in case anything goes wrong. all the conference games are locked in and the only other away game is at vmi, and i believe they already have their OOC set for those first few weeks.danefan wrote: I just can't imagine a CAA team traveling to a PFL team, regardless of the circumstances.
I would think they'd do everything in their power to avoid that, including rearranging other away games to the front of the schedule.

Unofficial:
2010 EWU Tentative Schedule
9/4 - at Oregon State
9/11 - Open
9/18 - Montana
9/25 - at Montana State
10/2 - at Weber State
10/9 - Northern Arizona
10/16 - at Northern Colorado
10/23 - Sacramento State
10/30 - at Portland State
11/6 - Open
11/13 - Southern Utah
11/20 - Idaho State
Brutal opening stretch. I hope we can schedule an OOC FCS home opponent on the 11th, but my worries are we'll have play an FBS for budgetary reasons.

Yeah, don't stick your neck out too far, Montana. Sign up for that 2010 automatic autobid in January instead of August. Every single MVFC team plays an FBS team.

I don't need Montana in a "dick-measuring" contest by scheduling an FBS, unless it's a natural rivalry like Idaho or Wyoming, but JFC, Western State AND a transitional school?Cap'n Cat wrote:Willie wrote:

I don't think this is correct. I thought it was Washington in 2010, not Oregon State.kalm wrote:Unofficial:

Exactly. This whole "Montana never plays FBS teams" obsession is just one of many manifestations of Griz envy.griz37 wrote:It's not our fault every other program in the Big Sky is desperate for a pay day.JALMOND wrote:

But at least you have a schedule for 2010, we don't have one yet
PS - are you allowed to play the same team that many times in one season? Is is just several schools in the same system? Like, say WTFKU - Atlantic City, WTFKU - Bala Cynwyd? Kinda like TXST - San Marcos? j/k

I think Southern's game on 9/4 will be against Delaware St. in Orlando (at least that's the word right now), I'd much rather it be FAMU, but they won't play in Orlando.

Not to mention, the Rattlers have a previously scheduled ass-whipping to take at the hands of the Hurricanes on 9/4.tampajag wrote:I think Southern's game on 9/4 will be against Delaware St. in Orlando (at least that's the word right now), I'd much rather it be FAMU, but they won't play in Orlando.
