Charleston Southern Buccaneers 2010 Football Schedule
Hawaii, Kentucky Highlight 2010 Buccaneers' Football Schedule
This is a very good schedule. Two FBS away games again this year as has been the norm for Charleston Southern in recent years to put some cash in the facilities upgrade account. Most FCS critics think we are crazy for playing two FBS away games every year, but it has made us a better team every year for conference games. This season has the potential to be very good for the Buccaneers. Even numbered years are tougher road Big South Conference games for CSU. Toughness (mental and physical) and chemistry will be key in winning the conference away games. Maybe this will be the year we finally take down Wofford. If we do, it could be an undefeated home season.
Looking forward to signing day tomorrow to see the class Coach Mills puts together. Go BUCS!!!

Good looking schedule if it wasn't for the 2 Div II games. GW had to play 2 last year because someone backed out on us. I don't see Mars Hill and N. Greenville being much of a test for your program.

For every good that two FBS games gives you is as bad two DII games takes away. With that being said, I think Coach Mills has done an admirable job there at CSU and is easily that most underrated program in the Big South. I wouldn't be surprised to see CSU challenge for the conference crown this season. Strange schedule though IMO.

Apparently CSU has written off any possibility of an at-large bid and will just hope for the autobid.dbackjon wrote:2 FBS and 2 DII?

This is not smack talk and not a shot at the Citadel, but if we could get your boys to muscle up and put us back on your schedule, we wouldn't have to play two D2 schools.
The series with North Greenville probably will never end due to the fact that both schools are private, Christian schools supported by the South Carolina Southern Baptist Convention. The best thing that could happen to that series is for North Greenville to move to FCS status and join the Big South.

Chuck South may be a good expansion applicant for the SWAC.
There's no other full-scholarship FCS in the country that has a weaker schedule year-in and year-out than Chuck South (outside of the SWAC that is).
Not only does Chuck South routinely travel to sub-Div I schools (oh hush about that 'rivalry') - they are obviously filling up on FBS when not playing conference or sub-Div I opposition. Very SWAC-like.

Re: Charleston Southern Buccaneers 2010 Football Schedule
CSU is going to have to win every FCS game on the schedule to even be eligible for the play-offs (7 is the minimum)....unless they beat Hawaii or UK......this would mean beating Wofford and going undefeated in the Big South.....dosen't sound like very good planning
this could create an interesting senario if CSu were to win the Big South but not have 7 d-I wins...

If CSU won the BIg South AQ - it does NOT matter how many Div I wins they have.
Keep in mind that SEVEN Division I wins is NOT written in stone.

The wimps down the road at the Citadel are back on the schedule as of right now for 2011. We'll see if that sticks or whether the back out again. And Citdog don't give that crap about we didn't bring anyone when you guys filled the sched the next year with freakin Webber St. who brought nobody and you killed by like 70 points or something.

I am referring to the the football team numb nuts. The AD to be exact who bailed on the last tIme we played on the remaining two years of the contract. I am a combat decorated veteran myself and just so you are fully informed, there is no requirement for them to serve in the military upon graduation.

True.......they could go 5-1 in conference, 6-5 overall, win the conference outright, and go to the post-season.TexasTerror wrote:If CSU won the BIg South AQ - it does NOT matter how many Div I wins they have.

So, in 2011, ElCid has you all, us, and a 1-A cash game most likely.CSUBUCDAD wrote:The wimps down the road at the Citadel are back on the schedule as of right now for 2011. .....
