1. I agree with Bandl but if Chris decides to lock the thread then so be it.

2. The hatred with AGS is mininterpretted and misdirected IMO. No one has an issue with "AGS". Most poeple have an issue with Ralph and the other people who sit behind authoratative screen names and bestow their word as the word of god.

3. As soon as its clear that those people have no position of authority at AGS, then whole bashing AGS things will stop. Until then, saying AGS is a bunch of dicks or AGS inhibited our ability to speak, etc. etc. is probably an overgeneralization, IMO. There are some good folks who post over there that do not like this board for whatever reason. they don't deserve to get lumped in with Ralph and his minions.

There isn't a good business reason for this, only a childish attempt to redirect traffic or get under someone's (Chris) skin.

I imagine donations to AGS (from those who haven't learned) will go to finance Ralph's obsession.

There's no defense. As I discussed with Danefan about wasting our breath, there is no evidence that anything changes. After seeing a message that says the website hasn't paid invoices, then a commentary from Ralph that said that ownership has been transferred to a third party that didn't live up to its obligations to undisclosed ownership of the board which, at least for appearances sake, seems to be the old owners to the new party line which is the site was down due to switching servers or providers (or whatever) there is no realization that just stating the truth simplifies matters greatly and gives people the feelings that they just might get the straight story in the future.

AGS has lots of good posters that deserve honesty instead of games.

During the downtime we had a lot of AGSers come over and sample the site and I believe that we will have a number of them begin posting more frequently here. Some of the freedom here doesn't set well with some folks, and that's okay - it's all about what you choose to read or participate in. If I post again on AGS, it will be very straightforward attempting to clarify something or get an answer to a question. I got a month ban on AGS last summer for posting something on CS that Mod33 read while lurking here - very unprofessional in my opinion, and most of the reason I stay over here. AGS is making it pretty obvious that they won't tolerate any show of personality - pretty much "just the facts". The personalities here are what make this place fun as well as the variety of topics. Sometimes a little football gets in the way too

A while back I said this site was like the old west. You are basically on your own here, don't draw your gun unless you know how to use it. There is nothing wrong with that, but it's not for everyone. Just because we like to have gun fights while drinking whiskey in the saloon doesn't mean that we are better than those who chose not to. I have no problem with anyone who wants to post on AGS and CS, as long as they don't come over here just to cause trouble.
