IMHO, this is a worse embarassment than our football players getting arrested. Now our own students aren't even allowed to cheer at home football games.Saturday night, a CCU police officer arrested 20-year-old Hunter Pickens and charged him with disorderly conduct.
The students want a student section at Brooks Stadium, want an end to the school’s requirement that students 21 and over to wear wristbands, and want an end to what students call “police harassment” at games.
Pickens said he was leading a group of students in a cheer during the CCU versus Towsen game when an officer told him to sit down, “Finally I asked him why we had to sit down and of course, I spoke up. I pointed out a couple of different crowds that were standing up he hadn’t asked to sit down, so he told me to turn around and put me into custody,” Pickens told News13.
