UC Davis vs Montana

Post by grizzaholic »

Well the game is upon us in about 24 hours. Nothing but a great game to be expected on Saturday. Both teams have a few banged up players, both seem to be struggling in the kicking game. This should really determine whether the Griz are the team once again to beat in the Big Sky.

I will probably not sleep tonight because Homecoming is tomorrow, well it might also have something to do with the Griz encounter being in town.

Go Griz.

Great game - first ever for me in Missoula.

Great atmosphere - tailgaiting, rabid fans (although too many "sit down, your blocking my view" types) - at times, App and I seemed more into it than a lot of the "montana faithful".

Back and forth game. UC-D has some beasts for WR's.

Griz secondary could turn out to be their downfall - seemed very soft to me.

Glad you had a good time dback and good to see those pictures from the Encounter!!! You are correct about the secondary and kicking game. Very young at the CB and special teams. The kid that let their 99 through for the 2 blocks is a true freshman and coach Hauck said that will be addressed. Hopefully as they get more games under their belt they will gel more. However, it is pretty impressive to see a young team have wins over Cal Poly and UC Davis under their belt in the first 3 games.

Wish I could have met up with you - but maybe another time.

Getting through all three GWFC teams undefeated is a great foundation for the BSC schedule.
