I think the schedule evens out though. A CAA team is just as likely to play the top three CAA teams as it is to avoid them.

But, it DOESN'T even out BH! Just look at your conference's history. How many times over the last 15-20 years or so has your 'champion' played the "other" 3 best teams?

Perhaps 15-20 years is too small of a sample. If I flip a coin 20 times I might get heads 12 times, it doesn't mean the coin favors heads.
