Best Performance: Weber St. 45, (#3) Montana 28 - Wildcats end 3 noticeable streaks: Montana's 16 straight conference wins, Montana's 25 straight regular season wins, & Weber's own 9 game losing streak to the Griz.
Worst Performance: Sacramento St. 10, (#24) Northern Arizona 42 - Huh? Wasn't this game supposed to be close?
Most Surprising Result: (#11) Eastern Washington 36, Portland St. 47 - The Eagle pass defense is just abysmal; they're allowing 421 ypg through the air and they just gave up 623 yards here to Viking QB Drew Hubel. The Vikings also had four(!) 100 yard receivers in the contest.

Worst Performance: Hofstra 0, (#1) James Madison 56 - Yeah, the Dukes are good, but no CAA team should get beat in conference by 56.
Most Surprising Result: Rhode Island 37, (#25) Brown 13 - Thanks to Derek Cassidy's 5 touchdown passes, the Rhodies show that Brown's addition to the top-25 was rather kneejerk.
Best Performance: South Carolina St. 28, Florida A&M 21 - The Bulldogs blew a 20-0 halftime lead in the 3rd. quarter thanks to 2 non-offensive touchdowns from the Rattlers, but a 44 yard TD run from RB William Ford a few plays later gave SC State the win.

I'd have to disagree with your analysis of the "worst" performance....Montana looked absolutely pathetic from about 5 minutes into the second quarter. That game was no where NEAR as close as the score. A truly horrid performance (second in a row!) from the supposed # 3 team in the nation.....

My "worsts" aren't relative. I think Sac getting wasted by NAU was way worse than UM's loss (as was EWU's loss to Portland). And, Weber hardly blew out the Griz; Montana led by 11 twice in the first half. Not to mention that Weber's a really good team, better than PSU or NAU.
Best Performance: Southern Utah 14, Youngstown St. 7 - The Thunderbirds amazingly give the Great West's best performance 2 weeks in a row.
Worst Performance: South Dakota 22, (#8) Cal Poly 49 - Despite QB Noah Shepard's 303 yards of total offense and 3 rushing TDs, the Coyotes still get clobbered.
Most Surprising Result: Southern Utah 14, Youngstown St. 7 - Thunderbirds force 3 turnovers (returning 1 for a TD) & hold the once mighty Penguins to single digits.

Best Performance: Harvard 27, Lafayette 13 - The Crimson rack up 419 yards against a team that was only giving up 221 ypg coming in.
Worst Performance: (#25) Brown 13, Rhode Island 37 - The Bears celebrate their sudden addition to the top-25 by committing 4 turnovers & falling hard against a perennial loser.
Most Surprising Result: (#25) Brown 13, Rhode Island 37 - Brown is 66-24-2 all-time against the Rams, but they've now lost 3 straight and 6 of the last 8.
Best Performance: (#20) Liberty 43, Coastal Carolina 38 - Both teams went over 500 yards in this one, but the Flames edged out a win thanks to 0 turnovers & just 4 penalties.
Worst Performance: VMI 16, (#6) Richmond 56 - The Keydets give up 419 yards, 2 fumble return TDs, & fail to complete any passes as they lose to the Spiders for the 7th. straight time.
Most Surprising Result: Presbyterian 22, (DII) North Greenville 15 - Not a surprising score, but it's not a good sign when you allow a DII team to get two 100 yard rushers.
Best Performance: Grambling 40, Prairie View A&M 16 - The defense forces 5 interceptions while QB Greg Dillon throws 4 TD passes on only 20 attempts to get an unexpectedly easy win for the Tigers.
Worst Performance: Alabama A&M 24, (DII) Tuskegee 34 - After getting just 7 points through three, the Bulldog offense managed to score 17 points in the 4th. quarter. Too bad the defense gave up 21 in the same frame.
Most Surprising Result: Prairie View A&M 16, Grambling 40 - After waiting so very, very long to contend for a SWAC title, the Panthers come out & do this.
Tomorrow: Independents & the artists formerly known as mid-majors.

Did you watch that game? Weber BLEW 2 scoring opportunities early. The 21-10 lead was a joke.
And Sac wasn't the #3 team in the friggin' nation when they lost. Agree to disagree, I guess.

Best Performance: Butler 21, Drake 15 - A 39 yard interception return TD by FS Rob Blevins late in the first half makes the difference as Butler ends their 10 game conference losing streak.
Best Performance: Albany 33, Duquesne 23 - Great Dane RB Dave McCarty runs for 230 yards & catches a TD pass while the defense forces 5 turnovers.
Worst Performance: St. Francis (PA) 15, Monmouth 42 - The Red Flash fall to 0-5 after allowing Hawk RB David Sinisi to rush for 247 yards and 4 TDs.
Most Surprising Result: Albany 33, Duquesne 23 - Not a surprising result, but this game did contain a strange stat line for Albany QB Vinny Esposito: 10-18, 3 TD passes, but only 38 yards.
Best Performance: Savannah St. 17, (DII) Clark Atlanta 14 - Kicker Derek Williams hits 3 field goals in the second half to give the Tigers a narrow road victory against a solid DII team.
Worst Performance: Iona 35, (DII) Stonehill 34 (OT) - The Gaels give up 460 yards & just get by a not-so-solid DII team thanks to a missed extra point in overtime.
Most Surprising Result: North Carolina Central 28, North Carolina A&T 27 - The Eagles looked pretty terrible coming in, but they manage to get a decent win here partially thanks to the Aggies' decision not to go for two to tie in the 4th. quarter.
