Weber State coach signs 4 yr contract

Post by weberwildcat »

Good news for WSU.

WSUs Coach Mac signs 4 year contract yesterday.

OGDEN -- Ron McBride laughed at the thought that, with his newly-signed contract extension, he will be coaching at Weber State until he turns 73.

"I told the assistant coaches if I pass away, 'Just prop me up someplace so it looks like I'm alive,' " McBride said.

As I said in an earlier thread...a more competitive BSC is good for all of FCS football...

Weber...NAU...you gotta kicks some Griz butt...

Congrats Weber and securing your coach for another 4 years...

Well, when those two teams you mentioned (Weber St. and NAU) actually win back to back years or both beat the Griz in the same season than we'll talk about the BSC being competitive. As of now those teams have a combined one victory in the last 21 meetings with the Griz.

McBride is probably a good fit for WSU, though. I personally don't really like him, but when a coach's sole purpose in life is to compete with and beat the Griz, all the more to him...oh, I guess he has something in common with Glanville of PSU then, and prob. most of the coaches in the BSC actually...

Well, considering that the entire CONFERENCE is 1 for their last 27 against the Griz, there's obviously a competitiveness issue...

Must SUCK going into a season just KNOWING there's no way you're going to have an undefeated season.

U make it sound like UM is an average team that is pretty good but the rest of the conference should be beating them.

We'll see what you say about Ap St when they have won as long as UM. the griz have made the playoffs 16 yrs in a row so my point is they are VERY good every year. The 'Sky is one of the best confs every year in FCS.
