Just started.. kickoff into the endzone.. Texas State received, ran a reverse on the first play @ their 30.

Not weird here. We've never lost to CP at home, our D is much improved and we know how to play the optiondanefan wrote:Jeez....so many weird scores yesterday.

Holding CP to only 12 points with their triple option attack is amazing. Hats off to the TX State defense.

That triple option works a lot better if you are able to pass. The Mustangs are in big trouble on this road trip if they don't put a passing game together. I didn't get to watch yesterday but the recap looks pretty bad.
Good job Texas State, thanks for having us.

The D coach is v old school and he has had a lot of experience defending the triple. Aside from that, the D did look really good. After 3 games, last year, we were ranked 105th. This year we are at 48th, even after the debacle that was Houston.SDHornet wrote:Holding CP to only 12 points with their triple option attack is amazing. Hats off to the TX State defense.

From reading on the game, and looking at some various things, it looks like this was a very good win for Texas State. Hope this means good things for them this year.

If the O can get their act together it just might be. While the D has fire in their eyes, leaders, and play as a unit, the O seems to be leaderless and lacks direction and cohesiveness. I know the playbook has been a bit vanilla because of Arndt but they had best pick it up or let Hawkins try his hand.clenz wrote:From reading on the game, and looking at some various things, it looks like this was a very good win for Texas State.
