Fouch is legit. He is a transfer from Washington University. He was behind Jake Locker on the depth chart.

Sure, maybe UNI was a few spots higher in the polls, but when it comes to the SIU/UNI series, I pretty much consider the home team to be favored (but not by a very big margin most years).
Panthers really should have won this one though, but AGAIN pissed it away with turnovers and poor playcalling.
Turnovers, yes. Play calling? Not so much. It was a weird game either team could have won and there was plenty of shouldawouldacoulda to go around. Christ, you ran for 350 yards.
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

No, that wasn't Christ (or me), that was Tirrell "tirring up yer defense" Rennie, Carlos "Mr." Anderson, and Matt "bowling ball" Strathman. (yeah, I'm in a goofy mood this morning, deal with it. )houndawg wrote:Turnovers, yes. Play calling? Not so much. Yes, they ran for 350 yards. But for some reason switched to 4 straight pass plays in overtime
(and don't get me started on the damned 'prevent defense')
Re: MVFC Picks Week 6
looking back at some of the posts, I had to chuckle at how some people picked "ISU" to win the ISU@ISU game, and "MSU" to win the MSU@MSU game. way to go out on a limb there!
The conference standings look crazy right now. Granted, it's still quite early in conference play (teams having only played 2-4 games), but there is only one game separating all 9 teams in the standings (3 teams at 2-1 at the top, 3 teams at 1-2 on the bottom. with a 2-2 and a couple 1-1s in the middle)

The best way to beat UNI is to let UNI do it for you....JayJ79 wrote:calling it an "upset" is a bit of a stretch.ISUSycamores23 wrote:UNI got upset today by SIU.

Aw, hell, we never would have had a chance if the Bison hadn't beaten the stuffing out of you...clenz wrote:The best way to beat UNI is to let UNI do it for you....JayJ79 wrote:

Abe Vigoda would go 35 of 42 for 350 yda and 3 TD's against our PATHETIC defensive scheme.ISUSycamores23 wrote:Indiana State hosts Missouri State next week. ISU really threw the ball well against Illinois State.
No one will ever convince me InSU has tallent that is 35 pts better than IlSU, but it sure looked like they have a coaching staff that is 35 pts better than ours.

He's a good QB for the system they run.45otseoj wrote:If legit is lighting up the worst pass defense in the FCS, then yes, legit indeed.dgreenwell3 wrote:45otseoj...is Fouch legit to you now??????? lol..
They essentially run a very similar scheme to what Central Mo torched us with.
And our coaching staff is too stuborn to change out the cover-2/tampa-2/2-deep zone even when facing an offensive scheme DESIGNED to flog a 2-deep zone.
