Tuscano out for the season

Post by CSUBUCDAD »

Just got a response from AJ Tuscano and he has torn hi ACL and is done for the season for the second time in his stint at Chuck South. He expressed full confidence in Trudnowski to carry the torch the rest of the season. AJ is a standup dude. Suffered the same injury year before last and got a medical redshirt. To bad the guys career is over. He really was a true general on the field.

Hate to hear this for AJ. Dont like to see any player end a career with an injury. Wishing him a full recovery.

Wow. It really didn't look that bad when it happened. Seemed like there was no twisting or anything of the knee, and that he just took a solid pop to the thigh and had a deep bruise or something. I know I was expecting him back in the game after watching it. Just goes to show how close any player can be to a disastrous injury.

Wish him nothing but the best. I imagine Trudnowski with first team reps will do just fine, he really was able to pick us apart for a while there.

Thanks for the update. :thumb:

Yea, when it happened I thought he'd be fine. Then when I saw him on the table with the big icepack, I immediately thought ACL. Sorry to hear.

That's a tough break for Tuscano. I cringed (my automatic response since I tore my ACL 21 years ago) when I saw him go down as I immediately thought he had a knee injury. I knew by his reactions when he was on the field that he was not playing again that day and feared he might be done for the season. Trudnowski did a good job when he replaced Tuscano. I think he will do well the rest of this season.

Man, this really sucks! I was hoping Tuscano wouldn't be out for any length of time because I believed CSU could knock off a Stony Brook or a Gardner-Webb. I don't see that now with Trudnowski at the helm. At times he looked ok, but really didn't seem to have any confidence. Maybe after a week of taking 1st team snaps will do him some good! It's possible that CSU could still beat GW at home this week, but there is not chance of them winning on Long Island now.

Trudnowski will be fine. He just needed the increased snaps he got this week. He knows the system like the back of his hand and has the size to stand in there and take the hits if he has too.
