Can't make it to Amherst this year & game isn't televised. I see there is a $9.95 monthly charge to watch the game online. Have any of you watched FB games online, is it worth it? Good production??
Thanks

Re: UMass Fans Question
I did it for one season (two years ago) and was sorry I spent the money...it basically was a single camera at the 50 yard line...
It may have changed, but I'm just not sure...

Game is on Comcast @ 3:30, might be able to pick it up on channelsurfing.com or even espn3. I wasn't crazy about Umass on line camera, but that was a few years ago. Not sure what it is like now...

Watched the W&M at Maine game online, think is was 7.95 option for 1 game only. Image quality wasn't world class, but decent. I'd do it again for any games I couldn't make it to.

Did you have announcer/color audio with it...or just live sounf from the field???green&gold75 wrote:Watched the W&M at Maine game online, think is was 7.95 option for 1 game only. Image quality wasn't world class, but decent. I'd do it again for any games I couldn't make it to.
One reason I did not like the UMass package I got two years ago was that it had no announcers, and it was no where near sync'd with the radio broadcast...

If I could get video without the UD announcers I would pay double.Col Hogan wrote:green&gold75 wrote: One reason I did not like the UMass package I got two years ago was that it had no announcers, and it was no where near sync'd with the radio broadcast...

Re: UMass Fans Question
UMass online streaming is about average. It's watchable. Seen better, seen worse (Stony Brook). Pain in the ass to cancel though.

Re: UMass Fans Question
I have never watched football but hockey and soccer are worth the money. They even have a scoreboard which most online streams don't have . I'd say buy it.
Re: UMass Fans Question
Before you buy, wait until not long before game time to see if it appears on Channelsurfing. Our Towson game appeared in their listing less than an hour before. For that one the stream synched quite well - at least for me - with our internet audio, which is at:

Certainly buy the UMass stream if needed.
