I assume, then, that he has no criminal record, as no school outside of Montana would EVER accept a player with any kind of checkered past.guinzone wrote:Name: Kevin Smith

One thing I love about this kid when I watch his videos is comparing him to Reggie Bush in HS. I saw Bush's high school videos and they were outstanding, and when I watch this youtube video, I know that this kid broke Bush's records back in HS; which makes me exciting!
He looks to be a fabulous back!

He might be good, but comparing him to Reggie Bush is a little much for me. If he was honestly that good, I think USC would be calling, not YSU. That being said, records are great, but somethin ain't right with this one

The kid wants to play right away, he got his grades in line, and so he decided to come to YSU.AppGuy04 wrote:He might be good, but comparing him to Reggie Bush is a little much for me. Re: Future FCS Stud Running Back?
Well that explains why he chose YSU over MSU (by the way I wana see some credentials ). With Mason only a sophmore and Taito a junior, it would be hard for him to break into the starting spot.
We signed a different JuCo running back as well, that might've been part of it. We signed him just a few days ago.

Is there a homer smiley around here? "Reggie Bush"...guinzone wrote:One thing I love about this kid when I watch his videos is comparing him to Reggie Bush in HS. Re: Future FCS Stud Running Back?
Here is current starting running back for MSU, Aaron Mason. These are highlights from him in high school... the point is every running back looks like a stud in high school.

Did he break records of a kid named Reggie Bush?
I know most kids look great in HS, but the video I'm showing you isn't even from HS, it's from Com. College.
Re: Future FCS Stud Running Back?
Until you put up some numbers, I'm callin on this Kevin Smith and his record breaking.
I'll eat crow if I'm wrong.
I do know Smith rushed for 1404 yds and 13td's his sr. year for a 6.85 ypc average.
Bush ran for 1691 yds and 27 td's his sr. year for a 12.1 ypc average.

Re: Future FCS Stud Running Back?
I'm well aware of each stat's, I never mentioned what records he broke, but I was told from a reliable source he broke some sort of Bush's record(s) while at Helix. He led his team to the Division 2 Cali HS Title Game, where he had a rough night with like 27 yards on 6 carries or so in a 20-3 loss.Grizball wrote:Until you put up some numbers, I'm callin on this Kevin Smith and his record breaking.

Bottom line the kid can play, and will compliment YSU RB Jabari Scott a lot this year, now Scott was a pretty solid RB himself down in 5A Texas HS Football; he was all-state Texas and look at these stats: 2,493 yards and 33 touchdowns his senior year!

COME ON MAN; MIKE WILL BE LUCKY IF HE SEE'S THE FIELD. LET MIKE STICK TO WHAT HE DO BEST; HITTING PEOPLE ON SPECIAL TEAMS , AND BLOCKING; NOT RUNNING THE BALL. THIS IS COLLEGE FOOTBALL, NOT CLASS C-1 IN GENEVA, NEB. NOT TAKE ANYTHING FROM MIKE ,HE IS A TRUE BALL PLAYER. AND HE WILL BE A BIG PART OF NDUS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP RUN IN 2008, BUT NOT AT RB; FB MAYBE, LB MAYBE.NDSUFREAK wrote:Actually his name is Mike Brower.

Quit shouting at us, dude.
