NDSU is on a roll. 3 to 4 FCS national championships in the next 10 years, probably more.

2) UNI. Its essential The BISON shut the dumb **** up. They are such braggarts. Besides the Captain has quit them in favor of the Gophers. If he is smart he will scalp those Bison @ Gophers tickets. They are at a huge premium.

3) Take your pick. SIU is probably plagued by injuries and fumbles, like always. When was the last time they beat an FBS team?

4) WIU. Great program great team.

After that take your pick. The MVFC is defined by the NDSU BISON. How they go so goes the conference.
What the hell JBB I thought you'd be all excited about the "Big 3" game of the year vs. SDSU. Guess it isn't so "Big" after all.

Guess he must have forgot
But the game @ the U of M is by far the game I'm most looking forward to. Beating them twice in a row would be huge for the program. It would be 3 in a row against BCS Conference teams. But then again, we would have to win first :kisswink: I'm predicting a loss, but hoping for the best. I still am trying to get tickets!

1. sept 10 vs UC Davis: 1st game in newly expanded bobcat stadium. this will be fun, and there will be a sunburn and a hangover(hopefully in that order)

2. sept 24 at EWU: winner of this game will likely win the big sky. 2800 people will be in attendance, 1000 of which will be bobcat fans.

3. cat/griz '11 in bozeman: absolute party, will probably puke. go cats. go cats go.

The best team you've ever had was lucky to finish .500 in the weakest MVC ever. :coffee:

If you had a lick of sense you'd be playing down the Gophers because they'll win by two TDs. Jerry Kill owns the Bison; shut you out last time they met, iirc. You're going to need help from your weak OOC, and a lucky day against the Jacks to have a shot at matching last years fluke.
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

I guess I'd have to say ODU at this point. The first three games won't really tell us much about the Hens. They could very well get clobbered by Navy and clobber WCUPA and DelSt and we'd still know nothing about the team. I expect ODU to be a very solid team, much better than WCUPA and DSU, so that will be the first I-AA test. Past that, who knows who is going to be good in the CAA. Right now, if I had to guess, the best CAA team we'll see is W&M on October 8. It's definitely going to be weird not having JMU on the schedule this year. :|

Have some confidence in your team. The Hens have to replace an excellent QB and a sizable portion of an excellent defense. We should be beatable if ODU is up to the task.
Oh I'm confident, but I'm also realistic. The Monarchs lost to the only two quality opponents it faced last season in W&M and Cal Poly. We lose our starting left tackle who played every game since our inception, and we lose our leader in sacks. It'll be the first time playing in a place w/20K-plus rooting against us. Until they can prove that it can beat a CAA-caliber team, I'm keeping my expectations low.

Self-edit - we also lost to Jacksonville, which is a quality team, but the Dolphins aren't the same quality as W&M or Cal Poly.

3 games -

1- @Navy- It's the 1st game, if we win you know it'll be a special season, and looking forward to seeeing our team. Offense should put up a lot of points, and chances are we'll need it against Navy. Hopefully, having an inexperienced secondary doesn't stick out in a game against this offense.

2- W&M- Best home game of the year & can extract revenge for close 4th quarter loss in W'Burg last year. Probably the 2 favorites in the CAA squaring off.

3- @'Nova - could be the last time these 2 teams play for a while - depending on how the vote goes in a few days. They should be down & UD hasn't beat them for way too long.

Most looking forward to NDSU, it sure is nice of them to bring the Marker down to us for us to keep instead of us having to go up there and bring it back, that thing is heavy. Then I'd have to say SIU for Hobo Day, then UNI. This season should set records as far as attendance goes with NDSU, UNI, and SIU at home and the teams that would draw the least usually are early for the Cereal and Beef Bowls, which always draw well. The only OCC game I really look forward to outside of our FBS game at Illinios is Cal Poly. Always fun to play them.

9/3 W&M at UVA. That game means football season has arrived. Beyond that? One game at a time!

UW will be new and cool, the cats in Cheney for the home opener will be important on many levels, but there is nothing like the Missoula trip, with WGS, the Griz fans, Reds, the Mo Club, etc. When is the last time the Griz hosted the defending National Champions?

Don't think we ever have.
