But the game @ the U of M is by far the game I'm most looking forward to. Beating them twice in a row would be huge for the program. It would be 3 in a row against BCS Conference teams. But then again, we would have to win first ;) I'm predicting a loss, but hoping for the best. I still am trying to get tickets!
The Big 3 is of course a regional event featuring NDSU, SDSU and USD. Its not a game its a round robin for football supremacy in the Dakota Territories. You seem to be referencing the Border Marker Game with SDSU. Certainly a highlight on any fans list, but an annual event. It also seems to be a flash point for some folks.

Google gopher football tickets. you can find them. Its a little early because the season ticket holders dont have their tickets yet. I was surprised as how high priced the NDSU tickets are, but you can get good seats for under $100.

October 1st in Harrisonburg. Looking forward to taking our 3rd straight from the Royal Pukes in front of '25k Strong'.

I agree with the other Tribe posters--UVA. Beating UVA again will ignite our players and set the tempo for the season. Beyond that, all CAA match-ups are meaningful. I suspect ODU will play W&M tough this season and will probably be our 3rd biggest rival behind Richmond and JMU. I know Tribe fans want revenge for the stupid loss to JMU last season. I'm glad we're playing ODU and JMU at home.

@WM hands down.

I hope that game has 20 personal fouls, numerous fights, and multiple ejections on both sides.

Laycock was a douche last year after we almost pulled the upset in Norfolk, and his lecturing our team afterwards was bush-league and unappreciated. Hopefully, this game will be so dirty that his smug, arrogant, and condescending head will explode all over that shitty field on which the Tribe plays.

Did I say Laycock is a douche? Just wanted to make sure you got the quote correct. With a name like that, he should have pursued a career in the adult film industry. ODU was mean, blah blah blah......ODU played after the whistle, blah blah blah......I am scared to death that ODU will dominate WM, blah blah blah.......WM elected a dude as a homecoming queen, blah blah blah.........WM had zero 'nads and changed its name to the Griffins, blah, blah blah.....

1) San Diego State because it is the first game (and we beat them the last two times we played them).

2) South Dakota State because it is the first home game and is always a hard fought good game.

3) Eastern Washington at home (defending FCS champions).

4) UC Davis. Cal Poly's biggest rival.

5) Everyone else.

2nd game of the season for UNC versus Colorado State. The two schools are separated by only 40 minutes. We haven't played them since the mid-'80s. I don't think we will win, but it will be close.

My bad. I was thinking about our home schedule. I am definately coming to Missoula Sept. 9th through the 11th and can not wait.

Rivised list:

1) @ San Diego State - first game.

2) @ Montana - Cold cheese burgers and warm beer at the Mo club, closing down Red's, steak at the Depot and tailgating with Griz fans. Awesome.

3) South Dakota State - First home game and always a good game against our old conference mates.

4) Eastern Washington - Home against the defending FCS champions.

5) @ UC Davis - Cal Poly's biggest football rival.

6) everyone else- love football and I am looking forward to every game.

Hey Thunderingherd. I was just over at stub hub

https://buy.stubhub.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They have about 360 tickets available for the BISON @ Gophers ranging from $32-$300. I picked up 4 on the 50 in section 210 or 212? for $68. They hit u with a mandatory fed ex fee of $12 and $28 for them. I got better seats at Iowa State but they were $128 each. There are fewer tickets today than when I checked a couple weeks ago so I got mine now.

We will also look forward to the game. Likely virtually all of the WM fans that ventured to Norfolk last year will agree that the game atmosphere was great, the fan support outstanding, and the overall experience positive. The gestures from the players as they left the field at halftime, and the numerous late hits was not positive, and frankly bush league. Laycock NEVER (prior to this game) makes comments like that in a press conference. He has a bit more experience in this league than Wilder, and trust me, Wilder will have to learn to lead and control the troops.

Given that this was a marquis game for ODU, I am able to chalk that episode up to the emotion of that evening, but will be watching to see if that sort of behavoir surfaces in Williamsburg. It will be a late season game, so by then ODU will have been exposed to a good dose of CAA football.

Every team that beat us last year. Especially Eastern and MSU. Can't wait for everything to get back to normal when it's the Griz that spoil everyone else's season. :coffee:

Kind of looking forward to Tennessee, but I don't think it's going to be close. Wish I could go, though.

That means you are looking forward to Cal Poly visiting Wa/Griz the second weekend of September. This is one of the very few years I could post this. I always look forward to playing the Griz.

Do you look forward to playing at Wa-Griz for the football or for the fans you get to meet up with and have dinner/drinks with for 3 days?

Don't think we ever have.
Griz hosted Boise State in 1981...I think that was the last time.

I made three last year douche. :twisted:

Assuming they don't screw me again by having day games in September, I should be at WCUPA, DelSt and Richmond. All the others are soccer dependant. This will be last year of coaching. :)

If this season is like last year then I'll be looking forward to the last one which means the season is over. But I guess if I had to choose I'd pick the Atlanta Football Classic (vs. FAMU) and the Bayou Classic.
