Sam Houston St. lays it on the line
Experience, skill on offensive front give the Bearkats a solid foundation
The day will come when well-known transfer Rhett Bomar settles into his role as the Sam Houston State quarterback and assumes the responsibility as the team leader.
Chances are good sophomore tailback Chris Poullard ultimately will validate the faith of his coaching staff and fill the gaping void left by the departed D.D. Terry.
Catron Houston, Trey Payne and Justin Wells are following in the footsteps of a trio of productive wide receivers, but, in all probability, they will deliver when called upon.
In the interim, Sam Houston State will lean heavily on its veteran offensive line, the one unit of the Bearkats' offense loaded with experience and brimming with confidence.

This sentence makes it sound like D.D. Terry died. Is that the case?

No, he was just a bad-ass. He is currently battling for a spot with the Jacksonville Jags.
