Not sure I buy any preseason all american list that leaves CHuck South DB Charles James completely off all three teams.

Re: Sports Network Announce 2011 Preseason All-America Teams
I have seen him play and while he is good this is a great CB class. there have been years where the 3rd team AAs would have been 1st team. Just a very deep class. Had he come out 2 years ago he would be 1st or 2nd team for sure.CSUBUCDAD wrote:Not sure I buy any preseason all american list that leaves CHuck South DB Charles James completely off all three teams.
While this is a good year to be a WR with only 2 big time producers back from last year so lots of room for newcomers to get honored. Also a good year at DE where the 3rd team guys are very talented.
Don't take it as a snub but a bad year to be in the CB class where there are 6 possible draft picks who are seniors.

Eagles versus Eagles in Frisco in January '12?
Yeah, if GSU's Laron Scott is third team, then the FCS is pretty durn stacked with corners this year.SmallCollegeFBFan wrote:I have seen him play and while he is good this is a great CB class. there have been years where the 3rd team AAs would have been 1st team. Re: Sports Network Announce 2011 Preseason All-America Teams
Just to put it in perspective there are like 4 or 5 returning All-America honors and then 3 who will likely be top 125 picks in the NFL Draft. This is a VERY stacked year. James, Ellis, and Scott are all top 5 in any other year but are not locks for the top 4-6 range because CB is so stacked.Pwns wrote:Eagles versus Eagles in Frisco in January '12?

Lots of Montana players in there.

Yeah, if you include Montana State. 4 MSU players, 1 UM player, and 5 EWU players.grizzaholic wrote:Lots of Montana players in there.

Brian Quick should be 1st team.

As exciting as it is to see how talented Liberty is going into this season, if we don't finally make the playoffs this year it's all for nothing.Pwns wrote: 4 - Liberty

Re: Sports Network Announce 2011 Preseason All-America Teams
Not sure I buy Zach Nash on 2nd Team D vice 1st Team D, but I'm VERY impressed with TWO Liberty players on 1st Team O and one each on 2nd Team O and 2nd Team D. Though I think I'd rather see Liberty's QB as the 1st Team O QB....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Hmmm. The question appears to be...
Why only 2 wide receivers on each team?
NEED MOAR.
Why only 2 wide receivers on each team?

SCFBF is right...yough year to be a CB. BW Webb from W&M also not on the list.CSUBUCDAD wrote:Not sure I buy any preseason all american list that leaves CHuck South DB Charles James completely off all three teams.
Re: Sports Network Announce 2011 Preseason All-America Teams
Ben Boothby, No Iowa, and Brent Russell GSU must be real animals at DT to keep EWU's Renard Williams on the second team. Renard may be the most disruptive player I've seen. Greg Peach may be the only exception.
