Towson's athletic director was highly complimentary of ODU football and its athletics in general:

If resources and support help win games ODU should be running away with everything in the CAA - they are a school that should move up to 1A

ODU is the one school in the CAA that has a big market all to themselves, a crazed fan base, and a 1A type budget all around

What ODU has done in building a football program from scratch is impressive as they could go in with one of the top budgets and build right

After working in the MAC for 5 years I can easily state that the setup for Football at Old Dominion is much better than any MAC school $$$$$
