The small crowd in attendance at this game is one of the things that gives FCS a bad rap. The Selection Committee should be embarrassed for allowing this game to be televised over some of the other matchups this weekend, i.e. @ODU or @Montana.

This was a Mickey Mouse decision.

And it's up against Michigan/OSU...doubt many casual fans are going to choose it over that game.

I'm a huge FCS fan....but that game will not ever see the screen of my TV over the Michigan/Ohio game.

Lakes quit making an ass of yourself, these teams aren't even in the same zipcode as WIU is. The Necks are horrible. They(JMU/EKU) are on the same level of ISUR and YSU.

But ESPN should have put the NSU-ODU game on.

Good to see that EKU didn't even repaint their helmets. Scratched up before the game...nice.

Which even goes to the point of what they could have done with the "massive bid" they put in to host this game. Reinvestment inti their program instead of blowing their wad on hosting a playoff game where they are probably gonna get smoked.

At this point, the Game may be the best so far of the First. ESPN is looking good for choosing this game as it's Television game. When you get a tied game at 17 with 7 minutes left, I say that is a good game. In contrast, ODU-NSU is already down 21-7 ODU early in the second quarter.

ODU has better atmosphere by far, and the whole "same town" thing makes for an interesting 30 second sidestory.
But the JMU/EKU game is definitely more competitive.
