Every team in the BSC except Montana has at least one FBS game on the schedule this year. Montana prefers Western St. (you will have to Google that to figure out where it is and when you do you will find it is in CO and is the worst DII program in the nation).

The other Big Sky teams schedule an FBS because we HAVE to - we need the pay day.
Montana is in a position where they don't need the money game.
NAU's OOC is Ft. Lewis, Arizona and SUU. Montana's OOC on the whole is better, with two FCS games.

Money should not be the only reason for scheduling FBS games if you consider yourself to be a premier FCS program. Ask Appy St.

Western St. 2-8 (DII - lost at home to Ft. Lewis), UCDavis 5-7, CPSLO 8-3. Don't think so.
OK - Ft. Lewis is better than Western. But I can guarantee both schools would prefer to play another FCS school - just not many that will travel out west for a game.

You guys are trying like HELL to not make the playoffs, aren't you?
Well, let me think.
We lost to both Utah and Hawaii last year, but went 7-1 in conf and Made the tourny.
I can see us losing to both Wyo and CSU, and I can also see us beating both of them,
we can lose these two games, and still make the tourny.

You are willing to give up a home game for a trip to a FBS school?
Western St at home vs a real game on the road? I'd take the latter any day, but of course, the admin. won't. I would travel about anywhere to a real game, but not to Missoula for Western St.

Thats true, but then again Weber has never had a team quite like this before.
It will have to be a better than the one that played in Missoula in December - because Montana will be.
I believe Weber is going to be far better than they were last season, Im looking forward to the Weber/UM game, I have a feeling its going to be a great game.
anybody who says FCS sched. a FBS team to win is ful of the big one. Yes app st went and won but thats cause they caught the flakeorines by surprise. Congrats to them but that was a while ago now. On the other hand.... you ALL sched. fbs games because it makes you money. the UM found after we played oregon and Iowa. That hey we made just as much money by playing a home game. which lets some fans come in. get us a home game and a W. hmmmmm so they would much rather do that than get hurt playing big time FBS. I would rather see another FCS team on the sched than a div 2. but you all are busy that weekend either healing from your beating OR getting the beating......or i guess in one case.....resting with a victory on your back(app.st is the only team that can use that one).

not sure if weebs will be better or not. i do think they will be up there. But just not sure. However since EWU will no long matter much when it comes to playoffs. Weber better make the playoffs.

Over the years Weber has had a decent defense, but lacked an offense, now that they have a top 5 offense in the nation coming back, and good defensive recruiting by McBride, I honestly feal Weber will be better than they were last season, Trevyn Smith will be a senior, that guy is a beast, Tim Toone is a very talented reciever, Higgins is a good QB, now he has one more year of experiance. Im excited, I mean usually we dont have too much to look forward to, but we never had a team like this before. Im not saying Weber is going to run the tabel, but I am saying that they shouldnt be counted out already.
