Wilder melting down. Rightfully gets the flag, like he should have when he did the same in Newark.

Congrats to Georgia Southern on the fantastic win. I don't necessarily like Wilder throwing a temper tantrum at the end but I can possibly understand why he was so upset. He got caught up in the moment and I'm almost certain and I can guarantee if he could see a replay of that on-side kick even he would admit that ball didn't go 10 yards. A lot of people are gonna be skeptical of his actions but to me it shows he has a lot of fight in him and he's gonna fight for his players. If I'm a player for Wilder and I witnessed that today on the sideline he just earned my respect even more.

As for ODU now, it was a fantastic season which ended in 10 wins and a trip to the FCS playoffs 2nd round in only their 3rd year. ODU and their fans have a lot to be proud of. If ODU could play an ounce of defense there is no doubt in my mind that they are soon going to be a National Championship contender as early as next year. They definitely have the offense, coaching, and special teams but there is truth behind the saying that "defense wins championships".

Looking forward to the 2012 season. ODU is going to be a force to be reckon with next year....I guarantee it. They have a lot of talent returning.

What were Heinicke's numbers in the two playoffs games? 11 TDs (10 passing, 1 running), 0 INT's?!?!?! The guy is gonna be a Walter Payton Award Finalist in the upcoming years.

ODU goal for 2012: Make round of 16 opponent punt the ball at least once.

You guys will be the heavy favorite, battle-tested playoff experienced squad. Delaware won't stand a chance. We're just a fledling upstart program. If we can stay within 10 points we'll be happy.

It's going to be a totally different game then the one in Week 4. Just wondering and an honest question since I know there was some sarcasm to your last post but how much talent do the Blue Hens return? I know they return Pierce...

As for ODU we return 3 of 5 offensive line starters, return skill guys such as Hienicke, Evans, Goodwyn, Harper, Vaughan, Pinkard, Mayers...pretty much the only skilled guy we lose on offense is Gill who will be a loss but ODU can make up for it with the other recievers ODU has.

On defense, ODU loses King, Cameron and McClam on the defensive side of the ball which will hurt ODU tremendously but they'll have Saylor, Burnette, and Turner return. I believe Turner was granted a medical RS this year so he'll be back. Plus ODU has some young talent at the position. Dontez Tyler stands out among them....guy was receiving some serious BCS schools interest and many believe he'll be a stud. At linebacker, ODU returns Wilkins and the secondary will only get better as they mature with Wikins, Morant, Lewis, Owens and so on. So to think ODU will slip back into mediocrity where many believe they'll belong is ignorant. They'll be a force next year.

I know we can say "IF" and "BUT" and this isn't a criticism to Demarco since he'll forever be the face of ODU Football but if ODU had Heinicke instead of Demarco in that game I think ODU wins that game. From what I remember, a lot of people were talking about Demarco's performance in that game afterwards....How many teams were there this year who actually found themselves in a BETTER position with their starting QB hurt and having to throw in a true freshman at QB...

CANNOT wait until 2012...there are gonna be a few games for ODU to circle on the schedule....home at Delaware, away at James Madison, and away at Towson....ODU is gonna be on a mini payback tour next season....

Keep it classy ODU!

Yeah, we're not in your league. Last time I checked, we beat you. Oh, and I guess three trips to the big game and a ring in the past nine seasons is chopped liver.

Yeah, we just can't match the accomplishments of the butterflies.

You guys are cute in your alligator shirts. Even cuter when you're mad.

I will say that ODU's wormy little QB is the real f'n deal. Extremely accurate in or out of the pocket, and an outstanding athlete. The WR's as a group though not that fast had the best hands I've ever seen at this level.

With that said, your coach is the whiniest fucking idiot douche bag in college football. The NCAA is going to fine ODU for missing two mandatory pregame meetings. Nothing against ODU, but I hope Wilder is made to pay the fines out of his own pocket.

BTW, here are Taylor Heinicke's final numbers for the season (played 8.5 games):

211/307 (69%), 2385 yards, 25 touchdowns, 1 interception, 160.21 passer rating...363 yards rushing.

Also, that interception was on a desperation hail mary.

Heineke can play, no doubt, but who knew that GSU was that bad on defense? Yikes, that was atrocious today. GSU's got a great offense, but I think they may be out even next round because they can't play a lick of defense. It wasn't like ODU had to do anything spectacular on offense to put up the yards and points they did. Brutal out there today.
