Re: Lehigh @ NDSU
I think that Lehigh will be able to score some points, but they will not be able to stop NDSU defensively. NDSU should be able to push them around a bit, and get what they want on offense.
To win the game, Lehigh will absolutely have to not turn the ball over, because they are going to need all of their possessions to keep up with NDSU scoring wise.

The best part of this game is that one of these teams will lose, and the denial, irrational thought, hate, and lashing out by that team's retard will be great entertainment.
Unfortunately, that means one of these teams will also win.

This thread is only at 2 pages??? Somebody must still be looking up quotes from last weekend's Lehigh game showing how accurate his/her 2 TD=2 point prediction was.

YAWN... we'll be in the tailgate lots by halftime.
Re: Lehigh @ NDSU
game prediction:
Lehigh - 35
NDSU - 24
NDSU's Williams will attempt to cover the best WR in the FCS, Spadola, as the second best WR in the FCS, Drwal, gets over 10 receptions and 3 TD's.
Lehigh QB Lum will pass for over 350 yards and 4 TD's on the weak NDSU pass defense (ranked 45th in the FCS).
Lehigh's highly ranked rush defense (ranked 7th in the FCS) will limit NDSU to under 150 yards rushing.
NDSU will get lucky on a couple of long passes to keep the score somewhat close.

Re: Lehigh @ NDSU
This will be the game, Lehigh surrenders 34 fewer ypg rushing than SIU and SIU stuffed the Bison run game to the tune of 60 yards net for the game. If Lehigh's run defense is for real then NDSU has a problem.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:First thoughts:
Marcus Williams is going to be VERY busy...
He'll need to play better than he did against JMU - where he dropped two picks, including a gift-wrapped pick-six...
Bison pass rush will need to get to the QB early and often. Don't know much about Lehigh's defense - but given the general size advantage of the Bison O-Line... I think the offensive gameplan is the same plan it is every week... run right at them until they break.

Re: Lehigh @ NDSU
What a dilemma - I want the MVC to finish 1-2 in the playoffs, but if NDSU loses, the JaBBer/lakes Armageddon meltdown is sure to lead to an epic-of-epics thread and a meteor storm of gay porn.Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:The best part of this game is that one of these teams will lose, and the denial, irrational thought, hate, and lashing out by that team's retard will be great entertainment.

Re: Lehigh @ NDSU
Are any of the teams on Lehigh's schedule that accomplished of rushing teams? Princeton seemed to have decent success running the ball...which led me to look up Lehigh's opponents and see their rushing success or lack thereof against them.The_Fan wrote:game prediction:

Monmouth (72nd-best rushing offense): 32 carries for 102 yards
UNH (57th-best): 34-117
Princeton (21st) : 35-166
Liberty (54th): 32-107
Yale (67th): 30-83
Bucknell (84th): 32-38
Fordham (108th): 25-81
Colgate (15th): 32-106
Holy Cross (78th): 25-70
Georgetown (63rd): 25-48
Lafayette (98th): 38-72
Towson (11th): 38-125
What does all this mean? Well, on average, Lehigh faced a team that was the 61st-best rushing offense. Given all the ripping that NDSU's 'mediocre' (45th) pass defense has taken, why no criticism for Lehigh's overrated run defense? Your schedule didn't have many Shakir Bells or Jamaine Cooks on it, now did it?
Despite NDSU's rushing offense being only 50th-best in the country statistically, I feel that they have a strong advantage here as the Lehigh defensive linemen are not all that big and are a likely target of the NDSU offensive gameplan...I hope they're deep. I expect a few long drives from NDSU, probably around 3-4.

Re: Lehigh @ NDSU
You're right. With as strong as Herd has been (winning catch against Nova last year and multiple 100 yard + games this year) and the progress Mitchell made after Kaufmann went down, Spadola might be relegated to special teams work or perhaps empty backfield sets.The_Fan wrote:kalm wrote:

That sucks for one reason. Lehigh now has a potential excuse. With Spadola, I saw this as a bad matchup for Lehigh. If NDSU just dominates on Saturday, now the excuse will be that it's because Spadola is out.Silenoz wrote:Spadola suspended...

CAA Champion Towson's running back Terrance West, the top running back in the FCS, was limited to 54 yards rushing by the Lehigh rushing defense last week...
I hope this helps
