Yea, the CAA did not go as far this year as in the past...

Let's see...what else has happened recently that was once in a blue moon...

EWU winning a championship comes to mind...

Kinda like a CAA team beating us. Oh wait...

ODU, JMU, UD, Nova, UR, W&M, UNH, Maine, Towson

No other conference will be keeping up with that nucleus on a year to year basis.

This year was about as bad as the CAA gets, and it wasn't terrible.

This will look funny in... say... December 2012. If recent performance is any indication, the odds are pretty good a CAA team makes the title game in 2012. Now, carry on with your fun... we need to make this a juicy thread for its return in 2012.

The distribution of teams is almost as important as the percentage of the field (unless 0 or 100%)

Interesting philosophy. You DO realize, however, that THAT is the EXACT argument used by your CAA bretheren to prove how tough the CAA is, don't you?

You DO realize, however, that the arguement is valid when four different CAA teams win the National Championship (five different make the final) in an eight year span?

CAA = BSC of 20+ years ago. It's about to become a one horse wonder.

ODU is already the flagship athletic program of the CAA.

100% correct. EWU ran through the best 2 CAA teams like a slut on prom night. 5 in the playoffs and only 1 makes it to the quarters? You're out of your fxckin mind.. With 5 in, the CAA shd win it every year.

With SHSU being so young, everyone might be down for a couple more years.

5 of 20 = 25% of the total field
5 of 15 = 33% of the teams that "deserve" to be in the field.
While the odds are better than other conferences, they are still long odds.

Apparently EWU was bringing back virtually most of the team that won the title just a year ago. Didn't translate into continued success though.

You know damn well TJ got drafted biitch. Not to mention the many injuries. I dont see Delaware in the title game either.

POINT IS: 5 TEAMS IN? 1 SHOULD BE IN THE CHIPPER. IF EWU, UM, MSU, CPSLO & PSU ALL GOT IN, IT WOULD BE EWU VS UM IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP.
