I have it on good authority that serious discussions are being conducted among higher-up FCS officials regarding whether or not to add an asterisk to the NDSU NC trophy. Apparently, the fact that the Fargonauts were able to tip-toe around a head-to-head confrontation with the Grand Grizzlies of Montana has not escaped the notice of several Folks of Consequence in the FCS HQ!
I am personally a bit conflicted on this matter. What do y'all think? :suspicious:

I was in section 125, he wasnt there.

I was in SE BBQ with Screen in trailor, put on by friends of mine Kyle Carlson, Lowell Bottrel, Jay Bartley, etc etc.

YOU WERE NOT THERE and PHIL HANSEN WASNT THERE EITHER!!

bison backer. you have zero clue what youre talking about.
 dumb ass, I ate your BBQ, met the guy with the fur hat and horns. Left $5 too, so did my wife. Ill remember not to do that next time. I had the blue ford F150 parked in the handicapped section about 100 feet north of your camp.

I met Phil at the Mariott Friday night. He was outside, said it was a mad house in there so my folks didnt go in. It was fun talking to Phil. We talked about all the great calls he made going back to his first broadcast at Montana in 2003. Some of the Montana fans remember that game. Phil said the BISON were taking some big hits and they would have to start giving them back or lose the game. Thats the day the BISON program, under Head Coach Craig Bohl, "The Football Wizard", came of age. By the time it was over The BISON had given back everything and more in that stunning win over the Griz.

You may remember Ross, the loud SHSU fan with the big cowboy hat sitting behind you in row 12? We were next to him.

Dont be such a drunk and you might remember a few things ok?

I will say this, the bus I was in riding from the NYLO hotel to the mariott, knew you. I said we have Lakes in our section and they cheered! :thumb:

Get ahold of me next time I will get you better seats, if you can afford it. 8-)

I asked Trans Am how he got into the stadium so fast. He said its the coat. Nice.... :thumb:

This is not likely.

In most Same-Sex Unions, the more demure, "Type-B" personality tends to receive (get it?) the "wife" label. Based on what we know about JBB, and the psychological profile that I've been able to put together for him, it is far more likely that HE is the "Wife" in the relationship. :ugeek:

I would also hasten to add that homosexuality is a perfectly normal, naturally occurring phenomenon that has been well observed and documented in MANY animal Classes (particularly Mammalian). Not my cup of Tea, but I certainly attach no inherent stigma to it.

Hmm, I was entertaining the theory of Bear being a Gil alt, in some sort of reverse-JBB revenge on us Griz fans (since JBB is clearly a UND or UNI or UM fan in disguise), except Bear is actually funny (unlike JBB). But that theory is falling apart because it's becoming clear Gil has no sense of humor

The hate culture is on full display. Some like glib are simply sick at heart. Others are simply a product of the hate culture.

The joke in Frisco:

SHSU fan says hey. We beat Montana. NDSU fans would look at each other and laugh replying so did we, at their house! Montana is no good. Montana State didnt help matters. SHSU beat both Montana schools. They lost to The NDSU BISON in the chipper as some Of you fellers say

Not Necessarily.

It might be taking a bit of colloquial license with the word, but a "joke" can also refer to a person generally regarded as a foolish and/or ridiculous spectacle by his/her peers.

It is most assuredly this second definition of the word that was being applied to JBB in Frisco. :suspicious:

That said, I do have it on Good Authority that in "The Other Frisco", JBB is quite well-known and popular as one of Only-A-Handful of "Powder Monkeys" still active in that Great City by the Bay!! :ugeek:

Lol. You are clearly a gifted psychiatrist, but you and that other dumb ass have cock breath. Obviosly a function of your daily activities.

Montana was laughed at in Frisco in a large part because of MSU. But really, the Montana schools ant the big sky are owned by SHSU. There is no pride in bragging about beating the bad bison, a poorly coached team that can't defense the option. Montana is no longer the big dog. NDSU is. The Griz are and have been playoff window dressing for a long time only because the big sky is so thin. It's tough to make a good case In favor of them especially after lSt season against SHSU and of course the records.

It has been leaked to me that the "Asterisk Committee" (as they called themselves internally) voted 4-1 IN FAVOR of adding the disclaimer to NDSU's NC trophy! :thumb:

Calls have been made to the greater Fargo Area in search of a Competent and Trustworthy bronze/metal Punchsmith! Apparently, several of these Blue-Collar Types have been interviewed, but deemed either Incompetent, Un-Trustworthy, or Both!

Failing finding somebody Local to Do This Dirty Deed, the Asterisk Committee has NOT ruled out the possibility of bringing in a Tradesman/woman from Minnesota to Perform this Hateful Task! :suspicious:

It also bears mentioning that Robin Plugrad, when asked about these latest Developments, had only Nice Things to say about "The Bodacious Bison" (his words) of North Dakota! What a Class Act IMHO! :notworthy:

As we mingled at the big pre-game party at the NYLOFTS with the SHSU fans a picture of a vane and entitled montana griz fan base became more and more clear. The Sam fans said that montana was not happy with their ticket alotment, demanded more tickets becaue of charter buses and planes etc. In the end they didnt even use half of their alotted tickets. They were generally rude and condescending. All hat no cattle, all buckle no belt, fat, lazy and big of mouth.

Yep, the Big Sky is something of a joke in the south. In consecutive weeks the best teams the big sky had to offer visited Sam Houston State. One was shellacked out of the chute. The other was too, but SHSU backed off enough to give the montana fans the impression they were actually competitive.

It unnerved them at first when their boast of "WE BEAT MONTNANA" was met with blank stares, laughter and the statement "Montana is no good". After they realized the truth to that statement they were in complete agreement with us that montana was indeed no good. :thumb:

Roles are changing very fast in the FCS. Montana, a school that has made a lot of noise with limited national success, is the big school in the Big Sky. Naturally, because of the overall weakness in the BSC a determined program can easily dominate and secure a playoff spot year after year, as montana has done. As a result Montana fans are having a tough time of it as they fade from the spotlight into the at-large pool.

A second observation is the national polls. This division that honors itself with winning it on the field doesnt pay too much attention to the field when ranking the teams in the weekly polls. Pollsters dont have a grasp of the game as they continually favor teams that have had a good past history.

This favoritism is evident all the time. Montana State is a case in point. What an uproar when NDSU was ranked ahead of them. It didnt matter NDSU was building and fielding one of the best teams ever to play in the FCS, the expert pollsters continued to rank MSU high. Forget last years 5 TD win by the BISON, the bearcats were ranked ahead of the BISON most of the year. In the end the folly of the pollsters was clear as MSU bowed out with a lopsided loss to a quality SHSU FBS type program. Thats the second year in a row MSU has stumbled badly on the national stage.

It was the same after NDSU beat UNI. It wasnt long before the win it on the field folks had UNI ranked ahead of NDSU despite NDSUs convincing win over the panthers.

Its about time pollsters in the FCS put their emotions aside and produce a legitimate poll instead of the hysterical emotional polls we see now.

The MVFC fans are confused too. As UNI and SIU give way to the new order: BISON, ILL State and YSU, they still insist they are the best and SIU fans, somehwat unbelievably, still make claims for their team.

The division is a nice mix of D2 type programs and stadiums and larger FBS like programs and stadiums. The top teams in this division are obviously qualified, at least at a minimum, to play at the FBS level. The added dimension in the FCS is the extra scholarships which give the smaller D2 like programs with the money to afford them, a chance to win once in a while.
All-and-all, reflecting on this, the first of the National Championships for the NDSU BISON in this division, it has to be said the future looks good. The NDSU BISON are now entering the third year of the 4th BISON FOOTBALL DYNASTY. Early on the dynasty will be confronted with hate, we are seeing that now, that will grow into acceptance, recognition and finally respect.
THE NDSU BISON*
NINE TIMES NATIONAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS
6-2 IN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES.
3 BY NATIONAL WIRE POLL
2012 FCS National Football Champions with a 13-1 record.
