Asshole, I jumped off the Griz Bandwagon 2 years ago, and last year officially because I had to wait for the paperwork to get filed. I am a supporter of SUU.

I know. You're virtually the only one left on the SUU bandwagon. I was... last couple years they've had some great talent and looked to contend, and each year they disappointed. I expected them to make the playoffs this year with Sorensen... they should have, but didn't get it done.

Yeah, they lost McCaffrey and Kavanaugh. Plus looking at their roster, all remaining QBs are Fr/So

I voted ODU btw

And how many of those guys do you think will contribute next season? 2? 3? If it's more than a handful I'd say they have some serious issues with depth to be relying on a bunch of true Freshman. But that's just me.

Yep. I'm surprised any team can get passed 5 or 6 wins every year with how good every other school's recruits are.

Are you saying only a select few teams have a chance to win the chipper this year? This is the FCS still, right? Last time I checked every team will have a chance next season. Please correct me if I am wrong. And because I have a different opinion than you, I am hating?

Feel free to take your time. Ask BJflamer, I am sure he can help you out.

I wouldn't smack too much kid. I wasn't that impressed with your squad when they came into Greeley last fall and beat a struggling Bears team by 2 points. I think you'll find out how difficult the Big Sky really is.

Guess we will find out in just over 7 months. I think the BSC will be surprised how tough UND is...especially at home.

Here's the first 5 parts of an ongoing series about the Monarchs during the offseason:

Part 1 (O-line): http://hamptonroads.com/2011/12/once-we ... ength-2012" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Part 2 (Receivers): http://hamptonroads.com/2011/12/talente ... r-monarchs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Part 3 (QB): http://hamptonroads.com/2012/01/monarch ... onger-2012" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Part 4 (D-line): http://hamptonroads.com/2012/01/burnett ... sive-front" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Part 5 (Linebackers): http://hamptonroads.com/2012/01/wilder- ... some-noise" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Coach Wilder has furiously been addressing the defensive woes ODU struggled with last season (as you can read in the articles). Yesterday, we got a commit from DE Andrew Everett who was originally committed to Southern Miss.:
Everett's plans changed when Southern Miss head coach Larry Fedora left the program to become North Carolina's head coach. Everett said that incoming head coach Ellis Johnson, who had been an assistant coach at South Carolina, told him he didn't think Everett and Southern Miss were "a good fit."

So Everett, who had also been considering Wake Forest, de-committed and restarted his recruiting process. He ended up picking the Monarchs over Georgia Southern, Appalachian State, Ball State and Middle Tennessee State.
http://hamptonroads.com/2012/01/monarch ... thern-miss" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hopefully this fall might be the start of something truly special for Monarchs fans! I don't know if we'll win a National Championship, but we've built a good foundation these last three years to have continued success.
