At least when UNI does it they do it more than a year before the game to allow time for changes...this is just 7 months from the game!
**** YOU
blame West Virginia for joining the Big XII that is what started this mess.
edit: WVU got out of their game with FSU which led to FSU needing a game, I had heard they were looking at ULL and somebody else. Guess those fell thru.
Clenz. We all can read, well most of us anyways, no need to double post everything.

Bump to this.....I now stand by my FUCK YOU SAVANNAH STATE...rather than meaning it in jest. Turns out they never called UNI to let us know they were dumping out date. A UNI person accidentally came across a schedule that had them playing us and FSU on the same date - both confirmed and signed....he let the AD know and we had to call them to find out what was going on. Their response "We were going to let you know eventually".....That delay is likely the reason UNI had to settle for a 1-10 D2 for a final game....
That is all from AD Dannen's mouth last night during the spring game.

That's fucked up. What the hell is wrong with people. At least have the balls enough to tell a team you aren't going to play them. Maybe this will come back and bite them in the ass, because if they are looking for teams to schedule other teams will remember this and stay away from them.
totally classless and gutless..........good luck going forward for SSU getting any 1-AA OOC games. They'll get one 1-A game (get smoked 79-0), and games with the likes of Webber Int'l., and Shorter Coll. (they'll lose both as well).

Wow. I curious as to what would have happened had the UNI person not stumbled across an updated SSU or FSU schedule? Total bush league on SSU’s behalf.

That's a shame.
UNI typically treats games like this one of two ways both to "not embarrass" the other team.
1. Score as many points as possible in the first half and air it out until half time...they'll hang 50 up in a half....BUT the second half don't throw the ball and only run dive plays
2. Run the entire game, but not just between the guards, to keep the clock running and get the game over.

They're gonna work on the run game and see where that goes. a few easy scores and the reserves will be in.

UNI nows has open weeks Sept 8 and Oct 6th. I can promise you UNI is going to do everything possible to keep the Oct 6 date open. UNI opens up @ Wisky, insert new game at home, at Iowa, at YSU, vs NDSU, then the other open date with the weaker portin of the schedule. Oct 6th must remain open.

Might as well fill the date clenz, you always lose @SIU.
