Glad to see Sorensen on the list, hope he has a great season (and @ the same time) helps the Thunderbirds shake things up in the Big Sky

ARGGGHHH...Seth Lobato should be on that list. Damn. Bears need to start winning some games so we can get some guys on these lists.

If you really had as much talent as you constantly claim, you probably WOULD be winning some games.BigSkyBears wrote:ARGGGHHH...Seth Lobato should be on that list. Damn. Bears need to start winning some games so we can get some guys on these lists.

Wow, only one from the SoCon, but at least it's the one I care about. Hopefully Jackson has a target rich environment even with Quick gone.

Kevin Yost ISU
With Rodrick Rumble, Luke Austin and the rest of ISU receivers he is going to have some yards.

Seriously? You think a guy who had a 121 efficiency rating and a completion percentage of 55% should show up on a best QB list?BigSkyBears wrote:ARGGGHHH...Seth Lobato should be on that list. Damn. Bears need to start winning some games so we can get some guys on these lists.
That being said, Kevin Yost shouldn't be on there either. He threw the ball nearly 500 times in 2011 and still didn't get to 3000 yards. And apparently Jeff Sinclair is still riding his 2010 wave because his stats were awful last year.

Bears QB and receivers are above average. The offensive line is/was horrible. The defensive secondary was horrible last year and the defensive line was average. The LB's were above average.Grizalltheway wrote:If you really had as much talent as you constantly claim, you probably WOULD be winning some games.BigSkyBears wrote:ARGGGHHH...Seth Lobato should be on that list. Have I posted anything different during the past 8 months?

It's funny how the player that won this award plus the overall cfpa player of the year award last year as a freshman cannot even get on a Payton award watch list from you guys.

So, wait...Is MSU's McGhee not on the list because he was a recipient last year? As big of a Griz fan as I am, I still find it hard to believe that there are at least 7 better QBs than him in the BSC.

I'am surprised that Deaunte Mason from ,Alabama A&M is on this list seeing as how he plays in a conservative offense.I know of other qb's within the SWAC ,that are far more talented than him like Lovelocke at Prairie View.If Lovelocke were at Jackson St he would be a Payton award candidate easily, with the type of pass-happy offense they run!!!!!

Excuse me but we do play football and there are some talented signal callers in this league.alvin kayak wrote:unless we are talking band performance, the swac won't win itI'am surprised that Deaunte Mason from ,Alabama A&M is on this list seeing as how he plays in a conservative offense.I know of other qb's within the SWAC ,that are far more talented than him like Lovelocke at Prairie View.If Lovelocke were at Jackson St he would be a Payton award candidate easily, with the type of pass-happy offense they run!!!!!

Idaho State, and they run a spread/pass every down type offense. Kinda like EWU, although I hope we will be a little more balanced this upcoming season.dal4018 wrote:What type of offense does this school run is it Illinois St aka Doug Collins St or Indiana St aka Larry Bird U???Sapper wrote:Kevin Yost ISU

Re: Quarterback Award's Watch List Out Today
You probably have to be on the list NOW to have a legit shot. But IMO, the best QB of the bunch will probably prove to be Mason Magleby....
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
