What was the reason behind the cops giving them the taser treatment after coming from a party?????
From what I gathered, the police showed up and for some reason, Kemp (backup QB) would not allow the cops in the door, they got pissed, tazed him and jumped on him. Tru apparently, in a reaction to what was being done to Kemp, placed his hand on a policeman, and then got tazed.

In all honesty, it sounds as if Tru was just reacting to what had happened and the cops took the chance to put him down.

Of course I was not there and had to figure this out through the maroon colored view of eGriz, so I could be off, but I would bet my version is pretty close. Other than placing his hand on a policeman, I don't think Tru did anything than warranted a tazing.

Well that, and the fact he might have been wearing a Montana football jersey, the FCS version of a 'hoodie'....

Yeah...your not suppose to put your hands on police officers regardless if whether you think their are wrong or not. Putting your hands on an officer while he is arresting someone is even worse. That pretty much warrents getting arrested.

Truth is, he is a great player, but most people go through their entire lives without getting tazed. Add some of the other issues he's had and that's how you end up with a first round talent grade and get drafted in the third. Let's hope he matures.

I think Travaris Cadet has a chance to stick in the right place -- not sure NO is the right place (but they do throw to their backs quite a bit).

Cadet is not that fast for his size but he has really quick feet. NO has a gazillion RBs on their roster, though.

It's so important for these FCS undrafted free agents to select the right team from the get go...I look at Omar Cuff and he screwed himself coming out of college by signing with Tenn. the year they drafted Chris Johnson and had Lendale White already. He never had a chance and fell behind the eight ball. Mike Adams on the other hand was not as highly touted but selected a team that he had a chance to grow with. The result has been a 9 year NFL career. I know these guys want to sign with teams to keep the dream alive but t here is something to say about finding the right situation.

Best of luck to him...if he can catch, he's got a chance.

I'm pretty sure the fact he played for Montana contributed more to him going in the third round than that incident.

Yeah. I'm fairly confident that if Tru had run a 4.4 40 instead of a 4.56 he'd have been drafted in the 1st round and not the 3rd. The NFL has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt they don't get too concerned about "character" issues unless the guy has committed murder.

I have to disagree...guys like Janoris Jenkins and Mike Adams who have top ten talent but big character question marks fell out of the first round specifically because they behavioral risks and that out weighed their physical upsides. Teams are less inclined to risk a first round pick on these guys than a second, third, or fourth. Mayock and Cosell both said he had first round talent but his character flaws were what teams were concerned with. I agree that Montana contributed to him dropping but not because they are an FCS school, but because of the enviornment that has been allowed to fester there. If he stays out of trouble, with the need for big DB's now to combat the Hybrid Tight Ends, he's going to have a great, great career.
