C-USA talked to UD. I talked to this hot chick in the elevator yesterday. 8-)
Hopefully UD didn't stutter as much as you did. :kisswink:

jmu1-A wrote:Ha,

You should read my other rant on the new thread I just posted to the forum titled "CAA too much like the Big East." Honestly I would not mind JMU staying FCS if it were in a really good conference. The CAA is not that conference right now and we've invested too much money in our football stadium to not compete with better talent. If they get some bigger football FCS powerhouses, and maybe a couple of good basketball schools...I would be fine with JMU staying in the FCS. I have UVA for the FBS..but JMU is my undergrad and first love :D
More football powerhouses? UNH, Maine, UD, W&M, and even Towson have all made the playoffs in the past few years. Losing UMass and ODU is a hit, but it's not like the CAA isn't one of the top 3 conferences. Not sure how your suggestion of Holy Cross, Coastal Carolina, and Stony Brook in the other thread is an improvement.

Also, your suggested conference in the other thread sucks for basketball.

None of those schools you mentioned are legit FCS championship contenders. And those other teams are not an improvement, genius. But App State and Georgia Southern SURELY are upgrades. And as for basketball, it's the same as your posts...unimportant and irrelevant.

Is unimportant and irrelevant your new tagline? It's not like JMU has exactly been relevant since their title in 2004. :kisswink:

Oh you mean in 2004 when we beat down Montana? I guess that would be the difference between JMU and UNI...when we played for the national title, we didn't choke. Oh and we also made the playoffs last year, losing on the road to the eventual national champions, but I wouldn't expect an internet troll to be up on such things.

How old were you in 2004? 10?

If you want to compare UNI and JMU, it isn't hard to figure out who has been more relevant since 2004... :kisswink:

Speaking of trolls, you're not a very good one. Check out lakesbison, JBB, chattownmocs. They could teach you in the ways of trolling.

Look, you're old. We get it. If you want to make your internet time meaningful, try hitting up the cialis message boards. Leave the CAA thread here to people who actually want to talk about the future of the CAA. And no, I don't want to make friends with your loser troll buddies. In fact, why don't you save your little winks for them. No judgement here, of course.

these "OLD" which i am not i am 20, have more knowledge and better opinions than you on these matters because they know the realistic possibilities so stop using petty comebacks such as cialis and have a real conversation with people stop acting like a 15 year old girl

Focused on CAA Football only.

VMI maybe
Stony Brook
Albany
Coastal Car
Monmouth
This. CCU has been Loki g the leave te Big South and be more competitive. SB is a tremendous school, though VMI can stay in the Big South, where it has better chances.

In statement released by Delaware, UD athletic director Bernard Muir said he and university president Patrick Harker “are leading an internal team that has been engaged in a thorough evaluation of the evolving conference realignments and the implications for our student-athletes and the university.”

Muir would not comment beyond the statement, but The News Journal has learned high-ranking UD officials have at least discussed the possibility of moving the Blue Hens to the FBS.

“Obviously, we approach this process carefully and methodically and are working to appropriately assess all options before arriving at a decision,” Muir said.

“This due diligence process requires time to compile and review historical conference data, assess financial and personnel information, understand NCAA, conference and legal implications as well as appropriate potential transition plans and to make a recommendation to the UD Board of Trustees.”

If you're going to call someone out on this forum, try using some form of grammar. And BTW, your little friend you were defending was trolling on the CAA site and I called him out for being a moron...just like your piss poor response was cited for its rambling lunacy. UNH is a decent school. Stop embarrassing it by having a thought you mouth breathing loser.

JMU major sports accomplishments in the past 3 years:
1. Spending over $60MM to upgrade 1/2 of their football stadium.
2. Failing to submit a bid sufficient to host a playoff game in this newly upgraded stadium, losing the home field to Eastern Kentucky.
3. Losing to an ODU squad in its inaugeral CAA football season. That HAD to hurt.
4. Failure to fire the men's basketball coach after several seasons of the team overtly quitting on the floor as dependably as a twice-monthly government check. Brady's teams have no heart when the going gets tough.
5. Apparently turning down pursuing upgrade to 1-A football when given the opportunity.

Something stinks in Harrisonburg worse than the poultry death-factories around the Shenandoah's favorite truck stop. I'd start with the AD, who has compiled a career's worth of strategic errors in a matter of a few short years. I'd recommend a visit to the eye-doctor, as his "vision" is pretty off-target.

If you do not like where you are in the pecking order of football, look in the mirror. You might not like what you see.

Number 1 I don't agree with. Stadium is looking gorgeous and will be even better when finished. Number 5 I don't agree with either. Better to wait for the right time, and it will come. Number 3 did hurt, but ODU was no slouch and it was close. Number 4 I can see both sides and we were crippled with injuries, so he gets another year to see what a healthy team can do.

But number 2. Yeah, you are right on the money. Absolutely RIDICULOUS.

With that being said, overall, JMU is still about 1000 times the school ODU is. Face it, W&M chose academic standards over better athletics...and ODU chose the opposite. JMU is the best of both worlds :)

So if JMU is "1000x" the school of ODU, why do our alumni seem able to support the move to 1-A with donor levels increasing? Not bad for our "glorified community college" in Norfolk..........Oh, and we upgraded our facilities without the need for taxpayer-backed bonds. Uh oh, your expansion needed such things........

So what you are saying is that you chose to be mediocre in both academics and athletics? You must be so proud. Your mascot even gets pwned by a buck Chicken from that "mensa-haven" Coastal Carolina.

Engineers>>Teachers......just saying. ODU produces graduates that make things work. JMU is producing graduates that value tenure over performance. Want to play more, Sparky?

HAHAHA, ODU produces engineers. That's like when burger flippers at burger king call themselves "grill technicians". JMU does produce good teachers...we also have one of the best ranked business schools in the South. ODU is an ok school at sports, but they are CLEARLY a step up from community college in academics. Acceptance rate at almost 70%. I never said JMU was mediocre at either...of course being mediocre in academics is still LEAPS AND BOUNDS better than ODU. And remember, you all are in southeastern Virginia....that's the ONLY reason you all moved up. And good look in CUSA, that UTEP rivalry will surely be worth it.

Harrisonburg may not be the quintessential "college town"...but it beats that cesspool of crime and pollution you knuckle draggers have created down in Norfolk.

What? I was not defending anyone, I was just calling out(jmu1-A) your cold, stupid, and ignorant responses to people. I am not a part of the caa site.. and I'm sure my school wont haggle me for a run on sentence on a forum.. mouth breathing loser? good one. If someone insults me for a run on sentence instead of making insults to people saying their opinions are stupid, than that's fine by me. So if you are gonna call people out saying they don't know anything look at your own damn posts. all these conference alignment posts are opinion based you don't have to try and s*** on someone just because you don't agree with their idea.

Look man, I've got no beef with you. But you've got it wrong. The UNI guy was crapping on me for my ideas. He was contributing nothing to the conversation and saying my idea of the basketball schools I was considering sucked and clearly just trying to pick a fight. Then you chimed in on his behalf and I wasn't having that. I am a JMU grad who cares about the CAA and when dudes from other conferences come on a thread about the CAA and just talk smack to me without having any ideas on the topic at hand, I'm going to bring it. If you have a legit thought about what I said that differs from me, I'm all ears. But if you're disrespectful like he was, I'm going to go off. Apologies if you got inadvertently caught in the crossfire. But that's the reality.
