TTBF is just another sore loser from BV trying to rub it in.
Last night it appeared they got it right. I dont think there is any controversy, but EWU sure did get cheated out of the play off win back in 97, but what can you do?
Its part of the game. The team and fans that get the break are on a high horse. The team and fans that get screwed are poor losers. In the end YSU got the win back in 97 on a bad call but that doesnt prevent the Ranger from bringing it up 14 years later.
Dear Lord, We come before you and humbly ask you to grant our prayer for a veil of protection to be placed over Donald Trump. May your will be done. In Jesus name we pray. Amen
Congrats EWU!!! Great win. I think they got the chains issue right, and regardless, UD still had a shot at the win in the last minutes. Great comeback and once again congrats!!!!

I'd actually forgotten all about that call in the 97 semi's until I read an article Blanchette from the Spokesman wrote either just prior to or after the Nova game. All in all I like the fact that they have the ability to review calls now. I'll go as far as to say that I'd like to see it put to use during the regular season.
Bottom line, I think the level of competition when you get to the latter stages of the playoffs is so level that most teams probably don't even get to the title game without getting a few of those close calls, the ones that are so close that they could probably go either way. All and all I thought the officiating last night was pretty decent. The penalties that were called on both teams were all valid calls IMO, save the whole chain debacle which I found sort of embarrassing. One thing on that that I didn't get was why UD was able to take a time out, apparently to challenge where the chains were spotted and then was subsequently not charged for said TO after they reviewed the spot of the chains and found that they had been spotted correctly. Just curious, it wasn't an issue for me but it seems as if they should have been charged for that TO.

Ranger, I've come to like you a lot so don't take this the wrong way.
I was just talking to SE174 on the phone and told him that I was glad you guys as fans have went through some of this silly "bad calls" BS. I'll bet it gives you new perspective on how **** dumb and sore loserish some of you have sounded in the past. It was the EWU Eagles that won those games and if some retard wants to argue that it was the refs then so be it. They are wrong.
I think TTBF was not serious in that post and was more poking fun at what a big deal had been made out of the bad calls. He has never before shown a proclivity to being an asshat (on football ) so I don't think it's his way now either.
Ursus,
No offense taken. I probably over reacted some, but its been sort of a sore subject. I see where you're coming from, and it is well taken. I guess my only caviat would be that we've had the benefit of re-play throughout these playoffs. I've never mentioned it before, but I was at the semi-final game against YSU in 97 when EWU lost a fumble that never was. It was 10 times more apparent than any of the close calls we've seen. We never had the benefit of replay or review back then - just had to accept it. So I understand what its like. Bottom line is all the plays were reviewed and even if any of them were indeed bad calls, wiNing teams find ways to overcome them.
UD lost in a similar way NDSU and Nova did - because they could not stop the pass in the final minutes. Had nothing to do with refs or anything like that. Just think we had the magic this year.
I may have made my point or may not have so to be clear. I completely agree with you on the things you've said.
Griz fans have had to deal with fans of teams in our conference saying the JBB style stuff for many years. I had thought you were one of the guys that I had went back and forth with on a thread about the bad calls in the MT/EWU game. My point being if you go back and read that thread I bet you will find that I am more like what you are saying now and the EWU fans were quite similar to the NDSU fans in these discussions. I know you guys don't want that and will be shamed into using those excuses ever again.
It's a constant argument as a Griz fan every year...sometimes with NAU, Weber, EWU, etc...
I have no doubt that your team won that game outright as they did the NDSU game and all others they won this year. You are the premiere team at our level this year. No one was better.
Yeah, but you picked Nova and Delaware in the Pick'em game.
DbackJon was in first, he picked EWU... if I pick EWU also, I automatically lose. Therefore, I pick UD. Come on son, think I'm gonna make a pick that guarantees I lose?
PS, you can see my pick for this game in the second post of this thread
What? I can't believe no one else commented on what that idiot Biden said. We all know he's good for a gaffe a month. Last night in the booth in the 2nd qtr talking about how when he was chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee they held hearing on the BCS and how there "should be Playoffs in Div I". Someone should have told him, "Hey, moron, you're watching the Div I playoffs right now!"
Proud deplorable Ultra MAGA fascist NAZI trash clinging to my guns and religion (and whatever else I’ve been labeled by Obama/Clinton/Biden/Harris).

I was in the Navy for a while, but you will be probably be disappointed to hear that my rectum is utilized as per God's plan, and remains a one-way street.
I missed this thread, as I was down in Frisco, but boy did the class of the JMU and ODU fans really show itself (as well as the other gravedancers like KYJelly).

Wasn't bumping this for Delaware fans, nor was I gloating. More rubbing it in (TWSS) for WR82 since I noticed that he's posted only a handful of times since the beginning of this thread. I'm sorry it still hurts, my apologies.
