There's only three. Sam Houston, SFA and Lamar (and Lamar just came into the conference). :D

I'll say that I was the only one who thought Sac State would struggle with UNC (predicted 27-20 Sac St, actually was 28-17, Sac St).

The good news for McNeese fans is that the final score made the game with Weber look a lot closer than it was. There was a point in the fourth quarter where McNeese had over 500 yards of offense, Weber had something like 108, and the score was 35-7. Weber tacked on two meaningless TDs, the second coming with about 20 seconds left, at bench clearing time during the last five minutes to make the final look more respectable at 35-21.

The bad news is that McNeese suffered a lot of injuries during the game. McNeese has had awful luck with injuries during the last five years or so and it looks like it's happening again. It looks like McNeese may have started this year with a pretty good team. But how good it is after tonight's injuries remains to be seen.

Not going to lie was surprised myself, we played very sloppy and nearly paid for it (such a letdown especially after we nearly upset Cal). However a win is a win and hopefully this game allowed us to get the kinks out and to be prepared for Portland State. By the way, the new Turf field looks AWESOME!! :thumb:

The game was a 3 point game going into the 4h quarter and take away a few bad turnovers and special team blunders we could have very well done it. Also when looking into NMH they appear to be a a decent D2 team this season. However there is no excuse and it wasnt pretty but lets hope we cleaned everthing up in time for PSU.

I know I've given SUU crap in the past and probably will in the future as well, but in THIS case, SUUTbird is correct. All of the media outlets around here in NorCal were all over Cal for their poor showing against SUU, particularly given that it was on the heels of their upset loss to Nevada. Given the way their season was headed, Cal's performance against Ohio State today was quite a shock. The 19-point margin against SUU does NOT even closely tell the story of that game. I'll accept that "near upset" characterization in a heartbeat.

I wouldn't 19 points is 19 points. Cal is a decent team and losing to them by 19 points is a respectable performance by a by SUU or any other FCS team but it is not close to a upset. I consider a near upset to be within one score like EWU's loss to WSU or North Dakota's loss tonight to San Diego State.

I tend to agree here. You should expect a team one level lower to stay within 3-4 touchdowns. That is only winning each quarter by one touchdown.

JALMOND wrote:Short and not too sweet, maybe. Currently I sit at 21-3, mainly because I can't see anyone beating the FBS. Maybe I've learned my lesson now. OK, Portland State over Washington (that sounds good, ). Really, though...Here are this weeks predictions and my attempt at perfection. Ten games this week. Have at them.

CP at Wyoming---Interesting game as the Mustangs had a week off and Wyoming may be without their quarterback. Sac State won at altitude (and the Pac-12 nonetheless). Still...Wyoming 31, CP 27.

Liberty at UM---The Grizzlies had a pretty good showing at Appalachian State last week, a place just as difficult for the visitors to win as Wash-Griz. Just ask Liberty...UM 35, Liberty 21.

Stephen F Austin at MSU---The Bobcats are coming under fire for two rather lackluster performances. Last week they got a win at Drake. This week they get a powerful Stephen F Austin team. As if it makes a difference...MSU 31, Stephen F Austin 14.

UND at Sac Diego State---The Sioux obviously have some offense, averaging 55 points a game so far, and the defense also has looked sharp. But then again, they have not played up to the FBS yet until now...San Diego State 42, UND 17.

Fort Lewis at Northern Arizona---So if the Lumberjacks rallied in the second half to beat FBS UNLV and no one saw it, did it really happen? You better believe it...NAU 31, Fort Lewis 7

UNC at Sac State---Everyone knows about the Hornets winning at Colorado, now they get the only DI Colorado team to win last week. Yes, the Bears got their first win in two years last week against DII Colorado Mesa. Are the Hornets really that good?...Sac State 27, UNC 20.

PSU at Washington---First meeting ever between these two schools. The Vikings are still trying to work out the kinks in their system, falling last week to North Dakota. The Huskies got throttled by LSU and will be looking for some payback...Washington 38, PSU 7

New Mexico Highlands at SUU---The Thunderbirds' hyped offense was non-existent against Utah State and then looked great for two separate quarters against California last week. This game should give the offense an opportunity to shine...SUU 45, New Mexico Highlands 7

UCD at South Dakota State---So how good are the Aggies? Are they the team that beat Azusa Pacific, or are they the team that played San Jose State. First game for the Aggies outside California...South Dakota State 35, UCD 17.

McNeese State at WSU---The home opener for the Wildcats and after two hard losses to begin the year, nothing feels better than coming home. Unless you are playing a team like McNeese State...McNeese State 28, WSU 21.
I knew it. I just could not talk myself into it. Taking Wyoming over Cal Poly kept me from being perfect this week. 9-1 puts me at 30-4 for the year.

Or like Division II's Central Washington against Eastern Washington last year.

We had a no show for most of the game and our defense only allowed 1 TD and 1 FG off of a fumbled punt return. I will say that UNC did make it close in the 4th then Lobato's poor decisions sealed it for us.

NAU 600 yards in total offense. The NAU D has pitch 6 1/2 quarters of shut out football. Special teams was dominant once again with Shanks returning another punt for a TD. Nice live practice for Montana. Only downer was back-up QB who started in place of starter Grossert who was lost in the ASU game went down with a leg injury. No update on his condition and Grossert is game to game.

Looking forward to Missoula! Go Jacks!

If you wanna pin that on Lobato, go right ahead, SD. There's an argument for that. But I'm more of the opinion that the young coaching staff screwed the pooch, particularly when they got greedy at the end on that 4th and 10 when they had the freebie chipshot available. In my mind, that sealed the game right there.

Of course, those late coverage sacks after the DL couldn't even get a glimpse of Lobato most of the entire game probably said something about the final result as well.
