Re: Weber/NoCol/Idaho St - 0-8?
NoCo moved up in 2003, not 2004. They went 9-2, though 6 of the wins were DIIs. The Bears did beat Big Sky co-champ Montana State, though, and they only lost to eventual semifinalist FAU by 2.clenz wrote:Since the 2004 season when UNC went D1
04: 2-9 outscored by 108 points
05: 4-7 outscored by 30 points
06: 1-10 outscored by 244 points
07: 1-11 outscored by 279 points
08: 1-10 outscored by 101 points
09: 3-8 outscored by 86 points
10: 3-8 outscored by 70 points
11: 0-11 outscored by 175 points
Since their move to D1, not including this year, they are 15-74 and been outscored by 1,093 points.
If you want to include this year it goes to 16-79 being outscored by 1,156.
Of those 16 wins only 9 of them were against full scholarship D1 teams at the time of the game.....and 3 of those were against Idaho State.

Northern Colorado looked O.K. against Montana this past weekend for 2 1/2 quarters.....................
Which team is playing worse right now? John L. Smith's Razorbacks, or John L. Smiths Wildcats?.............
Idaho St.? They are struggling, but I have to think they will win a game...........................
I think they'll each get a win in BSC conference play this year.............................

Bumpas is injured and might be out for a while. Not sure, but I'm hearing 2 weeks at the very least. We have some depth there at LB, but you can't replace an all-american. I think we will beat ISU and maybe Weber.

10-0 Griz at half time and we had a couple turnovers in the first half. If I recall we were moving the ball on their defense, but we had turnovers.SDHornet wrote:That’s not what I was told. 40-17, including a first half shut out. In what fucking world is that not a blowout? MSU beat them (at home) by a nearly identical margin, and no on had anything to say about it.SDHornet wrote:That’s not what I was told. Face it, you need us... just like the ACC needs Vandy, the Pac-12 needs Wazzu and the MAC needs UMass.

Really? Every single thing he said is 100% true. And take away the '02 and '03 seasons where you lucked into Jared Allen and you haven't had a season over SIX wins since 1983. UNC's offense scored 3 points until garbage time. The game was never in doubt.SDHornet wrote:10-0 at half, 24-10 after 3....blow out?Grizalltheway wrote:

Congrats on the D1 title that is 32 years old now. What does that you you this year? Um...0 wins.
Idaho State is SUB .500 FOR THEIR PROGRAM HISTORY.
25 times in their program history have they finished with 3 wins or less...including the year after their title
34 seasons with a record over .500 (starting with the most recent 03, 02, 00, 95, 94, 83, 81, 80, 75, 72, 71, 64, 63, 61, 60, 59, 57, 56, 55, 54, 53, 52, 51, 49, 48, 46, 41, 37, 35, 31, 29, 21, 1911, 1907).
That means out of 109 (110 if you include this year) years of playing football only 34 have them have had winning records (playing at least 8 games, which seems to be the cut off for every schools records).
Random fact, but it goes to show how bad things have been - they've only shut out 6 teams since 1981...4 of those have been D2s and 1 is a school that no longer plays football and I'm not sure was D1 when they played (Cal State-Northridge)
Tell me again, how what I said was a fictional representation of what ISU has been.

Re: Weber/NoCol/Idaho St - 0-8?
Cal State-Northridge was actually IN the BSC in the early 2000's for a couple years. Getting shut out by ISU was probably what convinced them to finally abandon football altogether.clenz wrote: Random fact, but it goes to show how bad things have been - they've only shut out 6 teams since 1981...4 of those have been D2s and 1 is a school that no longer plays football and I'm not sure was D1 when they played (Cal State-Northridge)

9 wins in 1957
12 wins in 1981
Such a long history of winning games....
UNI has 6 10 win seasons since the turn of the century, App State 7, Montana 9, etc....
So TWICE in Idaho State history have they won more than 8 games.....holy cow folks, we've got a run away freight train here.

As crazy as this day has been, all three teams (WSU, UNC and ISU) could win. Woudn't that be just the topper?

Geeeeezus.... Watching the Cal-Poly UNC game. The bears are just so, so, bad. Difficult to watch. Would love for them to win, though. Ha ha.

If something doesn't change, Weber will ruin our homecoming and get off the schneid in the process. This is ATROCIOUS football. What happened to our Hammerheads?!?
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Our defense had the WSU offense on lock down for all but 2 drives. Our offense had too many turnovers which won't get it done as we approach the most challenging part of the schedule.SuperHornet wrote:If something doesn't change, Weber will ruin our homecoming and get off the schneid in the process. I wouldn't give too much credit to your defense. I'm not sure the Weber State Offense could SCORE at a Sorority House Toga Party this year. Our O-Line has been everybody's bitch this year, and our Offensive Coordinator is the spawn of the 3 stooges.
