Just verifying that the entire state of Montana is not on suicide watch right now with both Montana and Montana State losing at home. Probably more likely, they are taking it out on real birds (such as eagles and thunderbirds) right now.

Sac State was just jolted into life by a crazy DUMB penalty against Weber driven by that STUPID helmet rule. Garrett Safron was apparently sacked for the THIRD time in this game (only five coming in), but the sacker was flagged for a personal foul because he was missing his helmet. Two fade routes to Ezekiel Graham later, and the game is tied just before the half, 7-up.

Sac goes up 9-7 when Weber's punt snap goes over the punter's head and out the back of the end zone. That was set up by backup QB Mason Magleby's roll-out punt/pass (the pass was covered) that rolled dead at the Weber 1. The Hornets came THIS close to a nine-point play as the ensuing punt-off was returned to the Weber 10.

This could be the big event the Hornets need to blow this game wide open.

The result of Sac's short drive is a FG, putting Sac up 12-7. Weber will have to get a TD to win, but in this crazy game that has all the feel of a game on a mud field, that doesn't seem likely.
