What I see is UND eventually moving to the Mo Valley, and the Big Sky bringing in Central Washington, Western Oregon, Humboldt State and Dixie State, bringing the total teams to a more manageable 16.
Uh, no. No chance on CWU, they are nowhere close to being DI ready. Humboldt State, maybe...Dixie State? No thanks.

No way on Central or Humboldt. Washington and California are still finding reasons to cut college football programs as other states find reasons to add them. Getting money to elevate the programs isn't going to happen. You'd think with the ludacrous rate of taxation these two states have that they could find money, but they piss it away like a drunk.

I'll agree, although the two are somehwat synonymous these days.
First, I find it kinda funny that a fan of one of the schools that just joined and basically got the Big Sky into this situation is the one complaining about it.
Second, listen to this weeks Big Sky podcast http://bigskyconf.com/podcasts.aspx?podcast=450" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and Jon Kasper at the very end says that they are looking for a 14th so that they can go to divisions. He also states that Idaho is the one they are targeting and is hopeful that an announcement will be made in the next few weeks.

It looks like the Vandals are going to try and continue to get wailed on in FBS competition instead of joining the Big Sky, does that mean Fullerton may be looking at adding another team to even out at 14? I am also curious about the state of North Dakota, are they working on a new mascot? And since they (for the time being anyway) have resolved their name issues does that mean they may be going to the MVC to join their rival the Yotes? Just curious as to what the future holds as I am definitely not a fan of the current game layout for the Big Sky.
First off the UND mascot...UND is prohibited from naming a new mascot until 2015 according to state law. Its under the "cooling off" period. So until then we are just "THE" University of North Dakota. As for us joining the MVFC. Their conference doesn't want UND unless teams bolt. Thats why they picked USD and not both USD and UND. Plus leaving the BSC would leave UND without a conference for other sports and we aren't on best terms with the Summit League especially with their 'tool" of a president Tom Douple. Douple told his members to not play UND due to the nickname situation (teams didn't listen and we played SDSU, UMKC, NDSU, among others). Its not like we couldn't get in. They are losing teams and are dangerously close to the bare minimum to known as a AQ conference. Now if this was a perfect world the MVFC and the Missouri Valley Conference would open up to all four Dakota teams (not gonna happen). The BSC is stuck with UND until the Big 10 comes calling. (also not going to happen).

Complaining? More looking to see if any solutions are in place or being worked out in order to fix it, and second we have belonged in the Big Sky for many years, it just took Fullerton long enough to wake up and realize this. No offense to UNC but we should have been chosen over them back in 06. And even then it was not our fault nor any of the other Great West teams, if you want to lay blame talk to South Dakota
