Why? All this nonsense aside, I don't think he's really anything special as a coach.grizzaholic wrote:The pussification of America continues.
I hope Kramer comes to Missoula to be the new coach.

Whether true or false is irrelevant to this situation.grizzaholic wrote:The pussification of America continues.

I think ISU will can him. I think they easily could. Am I incorrect that he was hired at $67,000?

Mike Kramer is one of the last people I'd want to be the head coach of the Griz.grizzaholic wrote:The pussification of America continues.

Re: Idaho State/Kramer
While I highly doubt that any off-season change is in the offing for the Griz (much less an in-season firing), whenever the next change DOES happen, I wouldn't be surprised if the next guy hired was DD....
Re the ISU situation: what OUGHT to happen and what WILL happen are two different things in this world. From what I've heard, this is much ado about nothing. But the media, as the media is wont, has blown it all out of proportion. If ISU plays its cards right, they'll either ignore this (with some BTS warnings to shape up) or suspend Kramer a game or two (it's not as if his presence or lack thereof will have much effect THIS year). But the media will probably push for a Texas Tech scenario where one doesn't exist.

I doubt Dickenson's gonna leave Canada, and I'm guessing he makes more as Calgary's OC than he would as the head coach of the Griz. Not to mention he has no college—or even American football—coaching experience .SuperHornet wrote:While I highly doubt that any off-season change is in the offing for the Griz (much less an in-season firing), whenever the next change DOES happen, I wouldn't be surprised if the next guy hired was DD....

Well, with that, he has more RECENT experience than a college back east that hired a businessman as their HC.

No. Wishful thinking... the football coach at Highland High School (Pocatello) probably makes that much.
Re: Idaho State/Kramer
Kramer crossed a line and was wrong. There is no place for that in today's game. That said, I do not believe it is not a criminal or even a civil matter. It should have been handled quitely inside the athletic department. Reported to the AD, not the police.
Even though Kramer was wrong, the kid is a punk. Going public, filing charges and hiring a lawyer for a little push is someone looking for a big pay day, not justice. I would bet his teammates do not have his back.

I'm not so sure a little push qualifies as "crossing the line," Stang. I mean, it's not as if we're talking about Woody Hayes or Bobby Knight here. I'm not a fan of cursing at players, either, but we all know it goes on, and by the time a kid gets to the college level, he should be able to take that kind of treatment, especially if a coach is well known for it. If you see it on TV, you should not be surprised if it happens to you, so long as you're not slugged. THAT would be over the line.

Personally I hope that this situation sticks to the kid who is suing. Mr. Graves. I hope he is forever known for this. 30 years from now I want him to still be remembered for this. Its funny how in modern society the accuser can fade in anonymity yet the accused keeps the rep of whatever he is charged with no matter how flimsy the charge is.

Re: Idaho State/Kramer
Well, he took his team to Greeley, got their ass kicked and left town without even going out for Mexican food, surely they will fire Kramer now..
