Any reports of parking lot brawls between Razor and Delaware fans? I thought I heard something about a fight at recess? Razor will probably bring his buddy Kenny Gattison to tag in for him.

ODU wins 31-26.

Delaware was scrappy and kept it close, but ODU was too tough on offense. Seemed like their recievers were open on every play.

Hens will have to win out if they want to make the playoffs, very unlikely at this point. Good thing the West Chester series is over after this year.

ODU should make some noise in the post season, if their offense is clicking I think they can beat any FCS team.

Only noise they will make is a big THUD!

We have a ton of injuries on the defensive side. One of our Top 2 receivers gone for the year, our best running back lost during the game and were playing with a one-eyed QB - and still came close to pulling off a W.

ODU has now beaten every CAA program it has played at least one time. The only team ODU has not faced is Maine.

Now I realize we caught some programs in a dip (W&M, UR, UD, VU), but that is still far better than ANYONE predicted.

I don't think the 'dip' has anything to do with it. You guys are the real deal. The TV guys spent a lot of time yesterday taking about how Heinicke was under recruited. He's a stud and should have no problem playing at the FBS level. His presence should make the jump to FBS that much easier.

Though I relish the fact that ODU is headed for the FBS, it saddens me that our stay in this division will end without meeting some of the best FCS programs outside of the CAA.

It also saddens me to see what could have been as far as rivalries in the CAA. ODU/UD would have been a great one year in year out. I hope we see UD again.......as an FBS opponent.

I said similar things to 93 over the weekend. I haven't gotten my fill of the greatness that is the CAA. While the schools, and athletic programs, range from one end of the spectrum to the other, the close proximity of mid-atlantic schools makes league play very special. I will miss what I was able to briefly enjoy, and what I hoped to take advantage in the future.

I made it to W&M, Towson, and will go to JMU (also went to VMI and Hampton), but am kicking myself for not going to UD. At the time, I thought there will be other years. But maybe we will be reunited again and I can head to Newark to flip off the UD fans in person.

Me a fair-weather fan? I may not post much here but I have missed only two games in the four years of the program ... and they were this season as I was flying to and from Thailand. Missed meaning I wasn't watching or listening. Living in Colorado makes home games difficult ... there are few ODU folks who attended and broadcast more ODU games than I did while I was a student. I normally avoid (exceptions based on mood, trolls) engaging in smack talk because I run forums in other sports but I am anything but a fair weather fan. I just read this FCS board less than the others.

I can't drive to my alma mater ... but I've watched ODU streams from Denmark, Russia and Turkey at wee hours of the morning. I do what I can from where I am

Don't let my post count here tell the story. Don't make false assumptions either ... I typically leave the hen chatterboxes be, for obvious reasons.
