Post by bluehenbillk »

ODU 45 W&M 17 - Ortiz hurt again, ODU steamrolls Tribe
JMU 27 VU 20 - learned my lesson picking against Dukes last week
UM 34 GSU 20 - Dome team in Maine in November, that is all
TU 45 URI 9 - Ambrose piles it on to try to make playoff case
UR 31 UD 21 - Can't see UD playing well this week

"hurt again"? Ortiz is already out for the season.

I see where Bilk mentioned that Ortiz was hurt again. Didn't know that.

"Tribe down to No. 3 QB Graham after season-ending injuries

November 05, 2012|By Dave Fairbank, dfairbank@dailypress.com | 757-247-4637

William and Mary's revolving door at quarterback appears to have come to an end, with word that Raphael Ortiz and Brent Caprio have season-ending shoulder injuries.

Michael Graham, a one-time starter but the No. 3 quarterback of late, will get the call in the Tribe's final two games, beginning Saturday at fourth-ranked Old Dominion."

W&M has lost by 1 @ MD, by 1 @ JMU in 2OT, by 3 to Lafayette, by 3 @ TU, by 3 @ UNH. I don't ever remember a CAA team losing 5 games by 1-3 pts without winning one.

I was thinking they had a good chance to pull an upset in one of these last 2 games, but with Ortiz out, there is little chance of that happening this week @ ODU. Have a better chance next week at home in their rivalry match with UR.

W&M (2-7/1-5) @ ODU (8-1/5-1) (noon) (CSN-MA/CSN-NE/CSN-P/CSN-BA/CSN-NW) by 14. On the road, no Ortiz. Think the Tribe can still keep it respectable.

JMU (7-2/5-1) @ Villanova (6-3/4-2) (1 PM) 24-20.

GST (1-9/1-6) @ Maine (3-6/2-5) (2 PM) (WABI-TV (Bangor, Maine)) by 14. I saw JMU host GST 2 weeks ago and @ Maine last week, and frankly, GST looked better, but I'd be a fool to pick GST @ Maine. If this was at the GA Dome think GST would have a decent chance. GST might be lucking out with the weather. Accuweather right now calling for Orono on Sat high of 62, rain possible. Sun they are calling for a high of 38 with snow showers possible.

UD (5-4/2-4) @ UR (6-3/4-2) (3:30) by 10. Even with all their injuries, UD has gone to the wire @ ODU and against TU the last 2 weeks. Can't go with the upset though, as its @ UR and UR is coming off of a bye week.

URI (0-9/0-6) @ TU (5-4/4-2) (3:30) by 42 URI's 2nd straight road game. This could get ugly...

Bye: UNH (8-2/6-1)

You always see Nov upsets in the CAA. Frankly, the only upset that would stun me would be URI over TU, which ain't happening.

This is one helluva rebound year after the disaster that was 2011.

Whole team was freshmen last year. Gotta rebuild once you lose the #8 prospect in the Cubs farm system.
