ODU: What the heck did you fans do to deserve THAT?!? That's a Weber-style "schedule yourself out of the playoffs" schedule if I ever saw one. That said, I think you take out the Pirates and the Bungles.
These FBS programs pay FCS teams to come because they need a home game and a tune up game. The idea that they would "duck" an FCS team is ridiculous.
I take it you haven't heard of the Minnesota Goofers. There's a reason NDSU played Colorado State this year instead of the Goofers. For NDSU it would have been a guaranteed win. Or Idaho. Or Duke. Come to think of it, there are probably at least a dozen I-A teams too chickenshit to schedule a good I-AA team.

Incarnate Word
@ Colorado
@ UT Martin
@ Missouri State
McNeese State
@ Lamar
Stephen F. Austin
@ Northwestern State
Southeastern Louisiana
@ Nicholls State
@ Sam Houston State

Tough 3 game road stretch at the beginning...i think we have a chance to keep it close if not steal a win against colorado though if they are as bad as last year. The sam houston game at the end of the season could be a big game. I know they will be wanting revenge...going to be tough. We'll see if we can be as clutch in some games as we were this year.

Not sure of dates but Southern's OOC games are: @University of Houston, @Northwestern St, and most likely a home date against a D-II
SWAC home games: AAMU, PVU, Alcorn, JSU
SWAC away games: MVSU, UAPB, TSU, Alabama St
SWAC neutral game: Grambling

Come on folks. Put a bug in your ADs ears. We're not that good yet and we need some future FCS OOC games. We need some FCS teams to play in San Marcos in the future that aren't from TX or the SLC.

At Manhattan, Kansas will be the toughest football team NDSU has ever played. Can't wait to make the trip down. Non-conference is not easy with Montana State coming to the dome the week after. Be very happy to start 1-1 next year which I think is very reasonable considering we lose nothing. The Western Carolina game is still on the schedule but the rumor is with all their FBS games that they are paying us off and we'll have to find another game. Expect NDSU to stay with 11 games unless something perfect rolls around for a 12th.

2014 includes an FBS game at Ames, Iowa vs. Iowa State and then Montana at home.
You might be able to knock off Kansas State...they will be breaking in a new QB with Klein graduating

Damn, that's a lot of roadies. Is your AD a short little guy? I think he might have a long lost twin residing in Cheney, WA. The only good news is that your non-conference schedule, while bad, at least gives you an OVC team and only one FBS. Eastern gets one additional home game, but has two FBS (both of which were ranked this year) and a trip to Sam Houston State.

No, they won't. Daniel Sams is going to be a legitimate QB. Little bit of a cross between Michael Bishop and Ell Roberson. NDSU isn't going into Manhattan, against that coach and that caliber of team and surviving, methinks. Snyder is just too good for that. Oh, the Bison will compete, sure. They'll just get their heads bashed in, is all. :twocents:

We actually get sam houston at home for the 2nd straight year, i just assumed we went to them when i made that post.

Yeah it seems like we like to get one FBS a year (like ole miss last year) a decent FCS, and two easier games. We play Texas Tech in 2014 and Oklahoma State in 2015

I'm tempted to fly out to San Diego for Harvard's season opener next September. The Crimson may lose, but the conditions will be ideal! :thumb:

YSU and UNI will not meet up in 2014 and 2015 on the gridiron per an article in the Youngstown Vindicator this past fall.

13 straight games, zero byes, including after Hawaii (5 time zones), then possibly straight into playoffs. That would be dumb.
