Biggest Discrepancy In Conference Facilities

When it comes to the SWAC I would have to say of course Alabama St is top dog right now when it comes to facilities and everyone else is in the cellar.

I'm not sure what you are talking about because Southern, Jackson St, and AAMU, are a looonnngg way from anybodys cellar. UAPB was suppose to be building a new endzone complex also not sure if the broke ground or not.

Alabama St right now has the best facilities in terms of something new.Can't wait to see Pine-Bluff's new facilities.

Jackson State just opened the Walter Payton rec center in the mid 2000's
Mississippi Valley just renovated Rice-Totten and they are working on building a new weight room
813 posted pics of Southern's new facility its only 3 years old and is state of the art it along with the one McNeese just built are 1a and 1b for the best in the in the state of Louisiana. Everything on our stadium over the past 15 years or so has been renovated the stadium itself the field, scoreboard, track, restrooms, concession stands, and pressbox(best in the state) have all been upgraded

Threre's no doubt who's got the Nicest Stadium and facilities in the Big Sky, but i think i would put ISU in the toliet over SUU. even only because it's in pocatello, I mean have you ever been to pocatello!?

We will never change our helmet, it is a masterpiece. Not the biggest fan of our current uniforms, we are getting new white road uniforms though.

The only way the Dakota dome will ever look better is with dynamite and a new facility is constructed over the rubble. It is a dump inside and out...I think it might be only dome with old school wooden retractable bleachers. It is like a much shittier version of the UNIdome, actually wait I'd like to apologize for even making that comparison...the UNIdome shoudn't be compared to that dump in Vermillion.

The Big South difference between Liberty & Charleston Southern could only be eclipsed by Alabama State to Prairie View right now in all of FCS.

As a CSU fan, I agree 100%. The BIGGEST problem with the Charleston Southern program is by far the facilities. They are improving slowly, but they have so far to go. Not having lights is inexcusable. The track around the field sucks, but, thats been that way for 25 years.

CSU has had its share of good years and good players. But they'll always be a middle-lower tier Big South team, and have the occassional year like 2005 when the stars align.

Until they start taking facilities seriously, they wont recruit enough top FCS level players to compete consistently with Liberty, Coastal, SBU. All 3 of those schools have beautiful stadiums.

Latest word on TSPNsports is both Mississippi Valley an Alcorn have new weightrooms:
MVSU got theres before last season it is football only, before they shared one with all other sports.


Alcorns may have just been renovated or they may have built a new one, last I heard the old one was starting to show its age

The seating for half of their stadium is really bleachers made out of wood....I think at one point they wanted to replace them with permanent seating and make some other improvements to their dome but now I'm not sure if that is in their budget anymore.

I agree with the Montana #1 but SUU is not #13, that honor would go to the Eagles. We have little more than a glorified high school stadium. I have been to all but N Colo and ND so can not speak to their facilities.
I do know the Eagles have the BEST turf in the country... bar none!
