I'm not knocking FCS at all, I have enjoyed it but... Let's use ODU as an example. Scheduling VT and NC State at home is not moving up? One of the benefits of JMU going MAC/CUSA/SBC is the OoC scheduling opportunity.

A home date with VT/UVa/NC State/Maryland would be a monumental event on campus and would fill a 45,000 seat stadium. Visibility would go through the roof.

I guess you are correct. SUU hasn't been there yet, and I say yet, but they will be there soon...with a full stadium while UD's is languishing and attempting to get to 2500.

Btw, with App, ODU and (likely) JMU gone, the order of things will be restored in FCS (circa 90s), with Montana and Delaware heading up the pack. Good riddance FBS wannabes. Best of luck in the Top Ramen bowl.

From what you read on Gohens and how you portray it, the University has crushed attendance. Guess not.

Grizza, UD had the longest unbroken string of years of 20K+ average attendance in FCS and that sadly ended last year. And I would attribute it to a number of things: certainly the UDAF mandatory donation, but also a badly beaten down economy in N Delaware (MBNA gone, Chrysler gone, GM gone, and many more), and some really boring and wildly inconsistent football under the last few seasons of Keeler.
