I'm not knocking FCS at all, I have enjoyed it but... Let's use ODU as an example. Scheduling VT and NC State at home is not moving up? One of the benefits of JMU going MAC/CUSA/SBC is the OoC scheduling opportunity.

A home date with VT/UVa/NC State/Maryland would be a monumental event on campus and would fill a 45,000 seat stadium. Visibility would go through the roof.

Congrats on moving to the Sunbelt.

That's hard to say without chuckling, but congrats nonetheless.

Yup. A smart one who sees the utter stupidity in thinking FBS Sun Belt football somehow builds a university.

Get out of your echo chamber.

You should practice what you preach. I find it hilarious that a change in athletic conference could make someone so bitter. I feel sorry for you.

FCS Playoffs Beats Pissant Bowl any day :coffee:
On December 12, 1775 the Continental Congress created a Battalion of minuteman from the three counties in Delaware. Kent county militia were fans and owners of Game Cocks; Fight'n Blue Hens as they were called. The Fight'n Blue Hens became known far and wide as the very best Fighting Game Cocks around. Thus, the Blue Hen was established.

That might have been a little low...but it has some truth.

GOD, has UD fallen.

It's been a non-stop descent since midway through the 3rd quarter back on Jan 7th, 2011. 8-)

I guess you are correct. SUU hasn't been there yet, and I say yet, but they will be there soon...with a full stadium while UD's is languishing and attempting to get to 2500.

Is that good for C-USA?

Btw, with App, ODU and (likely) JMU gone, the order of things will be restored in FCS (circa 90s), with Montana and Delaware heading up the pack. Good riddance FBS wannabes. Best of luck in the Top Ramen bowl.

From what you read on Gohens and how you portray it, the University has crushed attendance. Guess not.

Grizza, UD had the longest unbroken string of years of 20K+ average attendance in FCS and that sadly ended last year. And I would attribute it to a number of things: certainly the UDAF mandatory donation, but also a badly beaten down economy in N Delaware (MBNA gone, Chrysler gone, GM gone, and many more), and some really boring and wildly inconsistent football under the last few seasons of Keeler.
