Delaware forces a turnover on kick return with 1 second left!

Crazy come from behind for the Hens!

From the box score and the posts it sounds a like a real barn burner.

Towson led 31-17 with 4:23 left. They had the ball, 4th and 2 at the UD 19 and went for it instead of kicking a FG. UD made the stop. UD then drove 80 yards and scored with 48 seconds left to make it 31-24. Onside kick was successful. Sasek made throws of 28, 30, and 3 yards to make it 31-30 with 19 seconds left. Brock decided to go for 2 and it was GOOOOOOOD!!! Kickoff was lateraled around by TU before they finally fumbled with a UD recovery.

Best UD win in a long, long time.

Andy came over and sat with me and Bluehenbillk and Bill's son for most of the 3rd quarter. He claimed via text later that he jinxed his team by doing so. Andy is invited to sit in my third season ticket spot for the remainder of all UD games this year, including potential playoffs. :thumb:

Wait. Towson lost a big lead with little time left in the game? An onside kick was involved in keeping the UD hopes alive?

Hmmmmm.

Something sounds familiar. :suspicious: :?

Say what you will...but they still didn't give up a 4th and 29.

Your photoshop skills suck. SUU doesn't believe in tracks...hell, they disbanded their track teams a few years ago just because they mentioned the word track.

Half the students left at halftime, the other half left at the end of the third quarter. It was a pathetic 4th quarter. West got yanked with 30 carries and 210 yards. It ain't going to be a fun bye week break for the Tigers. The Skins won, so I'm off suicide watch.

When it was 31-10, many left.

When it was 31-17 early fourth, many UD fans clung to fleeting hope.

When the UD drive with 5 mins left was fruitless and resulted in a punt, most of the UD sections emptied.

And then Towson drives inside the UD red zone with under 5 mins left for a chance to go up by three scores. The game was in miracle-only mode for UD at that point. A towel would have been thrown if it was a boxing match.

We should have kicked the field goal there.

Hindsight. You needed two yards. What were you guys averaging per carry? Had to be well over 5 yards. Plus (as you witnessed) your kicker had already missed a chipshot when I waved it left with my whammy.

True, but how many spectators bring wide angle lenses to a football game? :coffee:

Not only was there a long line for concessions, there was a long line at the condiment stand. That's unAmerican.
