South Dakota St at Northern Ariz Attendance: 5077 …. ridiculous! the stadium holds 16K! there isn't anything to do in Flagstaff anyway! id be embarrassed if i were a Lumberjack fan.
The Dome only holds 10K after it was remodeled, and seatbacks but in, new pressbox, etc.
No students (all down in Phoenix for the holiday), normal attendees elsewhere for Holiday makes a Thanksgiving weekend game a tough sell. I was surprised they did that well.

Has he been simulating loud AND cold in practice?
The temps have been between 32-59 degrees the last two weeks. This past week was cold, most days in the 40s with some wind. That's the best we could do.
Right now it's 52 degrees and raining in Conway and 39 degrees(today's high) in Missoula. The temp will drop to about 38, so any afternoon practice is going to be cold. The rest of the week is supposed to be in the 70s whereas you boys are going to be at 38 today and then down in the teens for the remainder of the week. Who was the genius that scheduled these two teams.
Yep. I live in Savannah and can tell you that the temps here right now are NOTHiNG like what it's going to feel like in Missoula. Hell, this is still tshirt weather for Northwesterners.

Box score from Griz game on 9/28

You should write letters to the editor of the local newspaper thanking the citizens of Flagstaff for the support.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. What in the hell happened in these two places?
SHSU has always had a small fan base. We've played football for close to 100 years and our overall record is barely over .500. We've only known success for the last few years. I'm convinced all the years of mediocrity has created a mindset of "who cares?" among the students which then builds an apathetic alumni base and thus, not much support for the program. Throw in the fact that it was Thanksgiving weekend and you get 4k at the game. It's a shame. I wish we could have 12k per game, but we don't. Hopefully, we will continue to have success which will build more support for the program.

Uh, yes? Opening round games on Thanksgiving weekend are never well attended. Even at places like Montana and App State, attendance is usually well below regular season averages.
Never? Norfolk St at Old Dominion - Thanksgiving weekend 2011. Sold Out ~20,000

Where in the statement I quoted did he mention exceptions? He said "never". He clearly exaggerated.

What he said was true.... You were lookin for any opportunity to slide that little factoid in there. Be a man and admit it.

I am really not bent on the factoid regarding Old Dominion. The fact is that it was ODU's first playoff game and it was against a cross-town school. That is a big advantage over most of the other playoff participants in any year. I'm mostly bent on exaggeration. Meh, exaggeration in proving a point is a pet peeve of mine.
