Eagle logic.
Still butt hurt about a legal play that happened months ago...Griz logic.

(I'm really glad we can now go back to hating each other...GATW's love for Eastern was becoming disgusting')

The difference is that was an Eagle fans avatar of a game featuring the Eagles. Your team was one and done, thus they had nothing to do with this game.

You are giving blackfalkin and his best alphaGriz impression serious competition for biggest douche of the thread award.

That was cool. I watched live to the point where Towson went up 21-0. Had it recording so I could go fishing and come back and watch the rest later. Came back and started watching.

As the second half opened I heard that Towson's quarterback was done and I thought, "Gee. How lucky do you have to get to have two weeks in a row in the playoffs where the other team's quarterback is killing your defense but he gets hurt in the first half so you get to play the whole second half without him in there."

I figured EWU got lucky again with the QB injury and was in the championship game. But no. EWU failed to make some plays and Towson found a way. Great game. And I was pulling for Towson because even though he's a good player I cannot stand that EWU quarterback. When I look at him i get the same feeling I get when I see a cockroach. First time I saw him do that little dance thing when he starts the game I got that sensation and it's been that way ever since. He's good though. But I like the fact that he's disappointed right now especially since he did things like get tackled so the clock ran out before halftime and missed the wide open receiver on fourth down when they were going to run the clock out if he made an accurate throw.

Towson looked dead-to-rights when Q4 started, but a gutty TD drive and key 4th down stop fueled one hell of a comeback.

Happy that a CAA team is in the final, and happy that team is neither JMU or UR. Congratulations to Towson and Andy, in particular, for a shot to play in the championship!

I used to root for EWU
As long as you have this QB...I won't

The legal play was unnecessary. It was behind the play. It was a shot from the blind side. Pretty much what they call a defenseless player now a days
I sit behind the visitors bench so that gif stops a little short. Doesn't show the chest pounding and pointing to his bench and crowd. It was a dick move.

Only negative thing is that Towson's quarterback might not play and if he does play he'll probably still be affected. I hope not. Obviously if they'd started the game against Eastern Washington without him they wouldn't have won. Eastern Washington was going to take the running back away and their starter was making them pay. Then for the most part after he went out they didn't have to pay.

And that was Eastern Washington's defense. Eastern Washington's defense ain't North Dakota State's defense. Not by a 1000 miles. Playing North Dakota State's defense without your starting quarterback from snap one isn't likely to work well at all.

Yeah, that was a silly post. EWU had a nice run and well-deserved championship, but they're no Montana in the grand scheme of FCS football.

Refs didn't help EWU out in this one.

Towson, with a back up QB, and everyone knowing they were going to have to run the ball, ran the ball against the helpless Eagles' defense, and scored to get within three. 15 plays, three attempted passes (with two incompletes and a sack), with 12 runs that produced a MINIMUM of 3 yards. Towson simply pushed the Eagle players out of the way. That is straight up physical domination of the Eagles' soft D line that was worn out and quitting. The poor Eagle players were ground into mush.

Then, Towson, with a back up QB, and little time left, marched down the field with a passing offense against the Eagles soft pass defense, and a D-line that was too tired and physically outmanned to generate any serious threat, then powered (that replay is a fantastic display of men against boys), into the end zone. Cripes, the left side of Towson's line pushed those little Eaglets several yards out of the way.

THAT was the domination everyone knew was coming.

Hey, if Athens didn't get hurt, Towson walks away with a 3 TD victory. As it was, it took Towson a couple series to adapt and realize the EWU wasn't able to stop them anyway, and they just rammed it down the Eagles' throats in front of their demoralized fans. :thumb:

Anyway, Adams was proven to be a fraud, and Towson simply knocked EWU out of the way when it counted.

Congrats Towson...you manned up and took out the Eagle frauds. Hopefully, next year, the committee will put overrated EWU on the road where they belong.

nice recap Cluck U

My favorite stat of the day was the EWU player laying on the ground getting credit for blocking the punt when the roll out punter was a bit low on his delivery
