Semi-Final projections...
Delaware (10-3) @ Southern Illinois (12-1). While Southern Illinois' lone loss came to UNI I think Delaware is playing very good ball right now. Remembering the game last year against Montana (only thing I can go off of) I will go with the road warriors in this game. UD - 31 SIU - 21
Richmond (11-2) @ Appalachian St (11-2). The football gods have shined on App this playoff year. Both seeds losing in the first round has given them homefield advantage and two fumbles inside App's 10 yardline put them in familiar territory. They have a chance to go back to the NC for a 3rd straight year and play a Richmond team that has surprised a lot of people nationally. I have to go with App's experience and homefield in this one. App - 35 UR - 21.

I think you are right on about Delaware...after watching them play against UNI, I think this team is peaking at just the right time. Delaware big-time...and having watched UMass get beat by SIU, I have more respect for the Dogs...but think the Hens will take care of them.putter wrote:Delaware (10-3) @ Southern Illinois (12-1). I agree with your pick in the other game...but feel the Spiders will make it closer. From what I saw of the ASU/EWU game, I think the Mountaineers will win, but in a close one...

I think SIU and Richmond win these games. How's that for deep analysis.

delaware 27
southern illi- 24
-delaware is playing amazing so far in the playoffs. they looked nothing but impressive in the times i have seen them
app- 30
richmond- 20
-got to go with my apps, although i haven't seen richmond play this year. we are playing much better and more focused than in the regular season, and after the scares in the first two rounds its time to buckle down and get that third. home and weather advantage for asu. it is going to be painfully cold

I think these will be a couple of close games with the home teams winning. SIU and App in Chattanooga.

Quit staring at your avatar while posting. You are not able to concentrate enough to put together a coherent, complete sentense post!!

Re: Semi-Final projections...
I've already gone into deeper analysis on the teams in earlier projections, so I'll make this brief:
Delaware (10-3) @ (#4) Southern Illinois (12-1) - The Salukis do pretty much everything very well & they've looked like the best team in FCS over the last month-&-a-half. It will be extremely difficult for the Hens to beat them in Carbondale. It's a tad mystifying how Delware was able to suddenly turn it on for the playoffs after losing 2 straight, but the run ends here… SIU 31, UD 21
Richmond (11-2) @ Appalachian St. (11-2) - The two most battle-tested teams in FCS square off in Boone tomorrow. Teams have trouble stopping the Mountaineer spread option, but App. State can't stop the run on defense. Richmond runs it better than almost anyone & they showed last week that they can pass when necessary, as well. The Spiders also play defense, as proven by holding Wofford to their lowest rushing total of the season. As long as they don't pull a James Madison & choke it in the 4th. quarter, Richmond should win… RICH 31, APPST 24
